Young Learner Online Family Course Learn as a family with our new project-based Young Learner Online Family Course. This course is specifically designed for parents and children who want to improve their language skills and work together on fun online projects. Who is it for? This course is for families who want to share a unique learning experience together. Delivered by highly experienced BSC teachers, our Online Family Course will provide everyone with individual learning outcomes: While parents learn how to create meaningful activities for their children at home and gain valuable pedagogical skills, kids will improve their English in a playful and engaging way. Your family can also interact with other families from other countries and have the opportunity to connect with international people. This special programme is delivered entirely online, meaning both adults and children can learn from the safety of their home environment.

Course Numbers: Min. 2 families per module (1 adult, 1 child is the minimum per family) Max. 15 people in one class Language Level: No minimum level of English Pre-course online test for each family member

Daily Input: 90 mins of teacher input 90 mins of self-study/project work

Technical Requirements: Wi-Fi or internet access Laptop or PC with webcam, microphone and speakers

A Flexible Approach to Learning Choose your package: Either one project, a bundle of 5 projects at a discounted rate, or the entire 10 projects.

Create your learning schedule: Create your own Family Project Timetable with flexible start dates, being able to choose the days that suit you best for studying.

Pick and choose your projects: Project areas include; making videos, storytelling writing exercises, international cultural projects, cooking, digital poster making, music and more.

Programme Structure BSC’s Young Learner Online Family Course is delivered entirely online via Zoom, using a wide range of e-learning tools such as a webcam, chatbox, and whiteboards. Another helpful feature of the course is that lessons can be recorded for review and access at any time. There is an initial once-off online language level test. Each family member will get a certificate confirming their language level and duration of the course.

Each project contains: • 90 minutes of teacher input • 90 minutes of self-study/project work • Course work assessed by a BSC teacher

Course Outcomes On completion of this course, students will: • Have developed their language skills through practical activities and discussions • Have developed their creativity, reasoning and problem-solving skills • Have a deeper understanding of English culture • Have improved their digital competency in the context of project work • Be more confident in speaking English • Have met and learned from English native-level speakers online On completion of this course, the parents will: • Have worked on all points above • Have developed their teaching/ home-schooling skills • Have learned how to develop and structure meaningful activities for their children at home Includes testing, tuition, online support and end of course certificate with language level.
