Colegio Sagrado Corazón de Jesús Term 1 Newsletter - November 2016
Welcome! Dear Parents, My name is Fatima Kazalbash and I am the coordinator for the British Council classes in Colegio Sagrado Corazón de Jesús. This is our 11th year giving classes at the school and many of you know most of the teachers on our team. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or problems regarding your child's classes or if you wish to contact your child's teacher. There is also a section in your child's notebook for communication between parents and teachers. The parents' meetings for the end of this term will be on Thursday 22nd December at 12.30 at the British Council, Madrid Teaching Centre. We aim to provide students at the school with the same high quality level of teaching and resources as students studying in the British Council centres. This year we will continue to provide students with sessions on our laptop computers at the school. The students will be able to do online activities as well as use software directly related to their course books. Our Resource Centre (library) at Young Learners is also open to all British Council students. Estimados padres: Me llamo Fatima Kazalbash y soy la coordinadora de las clases del British Council en el Colegio Sagrado Corazón de Jesús. Ya llevamos 11 años impartiendo clases en el colegio y muchos de ustedes ya conocen nuestros profesores. Por favor, no duden en ponerse en contacto conmigo si tienen alguna pregunta o problema con respecto a las clases o si quieren contactar con el profesor. También hay una sección del cuaderno de su hijo/a para comunicarse con el profesor. Las reuniones del fin del trimestre serán el dia 22 de diciembre a las 12.30 en el British Council, Madrid Teaching Centre. Nuestro objectivo es ofrecer a los alumnos del colegio la misma calidad de enseñanza y los mismos recursos que a los alumnos de nuestros centros del British Council. Por ello, seguirémos proporcionando sesiones de ordenadores con nuestros portátiles. Los alumnos van a poder realizar actividades "online" y utilizar programas relacionados con los libros de texto de curso. Les recordamos que los alumnos pueden utilizar nuestra biblioteca (Resource Centre) del centro Madrid Teaching Centre.

This year we are offering our Junior students a new library service. We have brand new books that have been carefully selected for students to borrow. The students will read at their own speed and hopefully enjoy reading some beautiful books in English!
