15 June This free half day online event explored the latest research and initiatives looking to tackle marine litter including monitoring, tackling plastics waste at source and the Operation Clean Sweep scheme.

6 July This online event showcased why plastics companies should look to achieve net zero, as well as providing practical advice on how to set net zero goals and how companies can achieve net zero.

14 September The 2021 chemical recycling online event set out to map the European Chemical Recycling landscape, explore current innovations and delve into the latest thinking on classification, LCAs, legislation and more.
What Next For Plastics Packaging
18 October This online event investigated what the future holds for rigid plastic packaging and examined how things such as EPR and new legislation would affect plastics packaging businesses. Topics at this event included determining recyclability for EPR, certification and enzymatically recycled plastics.

19 October This seminar, which was aimed at producers of flexible packaging included presentations on innovations in flexible packaging, guidelines, de-inking and funding available.

2 November
Health and Safety is crucial to all plastics businesses with this event aiming to provide insight into the latest developments and ideas. Topics at this event included manual handling, mental health and fume extraction.
The Future of Plastics Recycling
11 November The 2021 Recycling event was the first BPF hybrid event to take place with guests both at the event and online. Presentations at the seminar explored topics including standards, PET tray to tray recycling and fluorescent markers.
Plastics in Automotive 2021: New Developments and New Technology
17 November The BPF automotive conference for 2021 proved to be the only fully in person BPF event. The seminar focussed on topics including trade with the EU, lightweighting and car interiors
The Journey to Net Zero for the PVC Industry
25 November The final event of the year for the BPF brought members of the PVC industry together to see how their industry can achieve net zero. The event featured case studies and sessions looking at setting net zero strategies.
