Operation Clean Sweep Update ▪ Site Protection ‐ 2 Rivers run through the site and enter the Solway
‐ Contractor on site for 6 months tracing all drains to ensure we were fully protected (updated Drain Plans) ‐ Site protected by Interceptors (oil / polymer) ‐ Inspected, Tested and Emptied every 6 months ‐ Drains with mesh covers to prevent polymer in high risk areas entering surface water, sewers etc Copyright © 2018 Innovia – All rights reserved

Installed Cleaning Stations at all Polymer unloading Points Placed Refuge bins (keep drivers waste away from polymer) Road Sweeper routinely comes onto site Cover the Drains when offloading Invited Polymer Suppliers to site (make clear our expectations) Creating Driver Information Boards Our employees inspecting the area before and after unloading Raising complaints if required Considering Setting up CCTV, having drip trays under tankers, spill trays inside silos

Internal Projects ▪ Polymer Handling Areas ‐ Adjustable hook lengths for different size polymer bags ‐ Raised the height of the sides (adjustable) on polymer decanting stations (prevent polymers falling to the floor) ‐ Floor Sweepings segregated and sold off ‐ Only use polymer bags once – reduced trails of polymer around the site from holed bags ‐ Considering installing internal rumble strips before exits from buildings to shake off any lose polymers before Fork Lift Trucks go outside

Relocated all skips into 1 waste recycling location (tidied the site up, reduced littering, improved segregation) Improved Bailing Procedures All Waste is bagged and tied Waste Management Company asked to replace some skips as doors were not sealing (now monitored)

Building expectations and reasoning into all site wide training packages Incorporating OCS and requirements into inductions for Employees and Contractors Giving regular updates via shift briefs, Tool Box Talks, and site wide TV screens Involving employees and Safety Reps in improvement discussions

External Projects ▪ Working with Procurement to open up discussions with suppliers of Polymers asking them to sign up to OCS if they haven't already ▪ Same as above with Waste Management Companies ▪ Auditing all waste management companies in 2018 ▪ Planning a beach clean ▪ Holding an Open Day in June – Operation Clean Sweep and what we are doing will be discussed ▪ Discuss topics from these meetings at “Cumbria Health, Safety and Environmental Meeting”
