A great week in sports for us with many soccer victories, one or two very close run things and a good lesson in tactics in Volleyball which we’ll learn from! The cricket nets will shortly be permanently installed in an extension to the schools sport facilities and we continue to investigate the installation of rugby posts as a matter of priority. There are a number of sports reports included in the newsletter from our athletics and sports team and I look forward to many more as the season gets into full swing. On Sunday the 3rd of October we will be hosting our first BSB family day out of the year. This is a wholly informal trip for families to a local beauty spot that’s about an hour outside of Beijing. There will be a small cost to cover transport and food, or you can bring your own of course. The aim is simply to get out of Beijing, see some of the countryside and let the kids (big and small!) run around, play, fly kites and have fun. I would emphasise that this is a family event rather than a school run event and so teachers will not be on duty as such and will be there, me included, just as mum’s and dad’s themselves. I will shortly be sending home details about the trip in a letter, do come along, past events have been great fun. Keen eyed visitors to the Shunyi campus will notice an additional plaque on the wall in the next couple of days confirming our status as a level 2 (the highest) SAT centre for US University entry examinations. This critical registration will ensure that those graduates of BSB who wish to attend university in the US with their A levels. Of course all other countries are also open to our students. Very best regards, Mike Embley Executive Principal

An important reminder from the British Embassy

If you live abroad the way you obtain a passport, and where you need to apply, will change over the next three years. This leaflet explains what’s happening and why. After more than 20 years of running separate passport services, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and the Home Office have agreed that from April 2011, the Identity & Passport Service (IPS - an agency of the Home Office) will become the single provider of full validity passports for British nationals at home and overseas.
Why is this happening? > By taking this action now, customers overseas will still have access to a passport service > In October 2010 IPS will introduce new style passports containing more sophisticated security features. They are required to do this to continue to meet international quality and security standards. It is not affordable to print these new passports overseas
theft and passport fraud; protecting you and international borders > Integrating the two passports services into IPS will reduce the cost of maintaining a passport operation overseas, allowing us to continue to offer secure passports to overseas customers
So what’s changing? > A new emergency travel document available in most British Embassies by November 2010. If you don’t have a valid passport and need to travel urgently, this will provide a fast, secure and readily available way to do so > Regional Passport Processing Centres in place by the end of 2010 > All passport printing centralised in the UK in 2011 > In the longer term all passport application processing will also be moved back to the UK
> The UK remains one of the few countries still printing passports in Embassies, High Commissions and Consulates overseas. This is expensive to do and transferring blank passports around the world presents a greater security risk
By the end of 2010 we will have created 7 Regional Passport Processing Centres, based in Düsseldorf, Hong Kong, Madrid, Paris, Pretoria, Washington, and Wellington. These Centres will process all the passport applications for customers overseas until that work is centralised in the UK.
> New designs and new processes are being introduced to reduce the likelihood of identity
The majority of overseas passport applicants will be able to send their passport applications direct to a

Regional Passport Processing Centre. In a few countries, however, customers will still have the option to submit their application via their nearest Embassy, High Commission or Consulate reflecting specific local circumstances. You can find out where and how to submit your application by visiting your local British Embassy/High Commission website. In 2011, all passport printing will be sent to a central production facility in the UK, shared with IPS. Most customers will receive their new passport directly from the UK, but some will need to collect their new passport from their nearest Embassy, High Commission, Consulate or courier depot. British Embassy/High Commission websites will contain clear guidance on local delivery and collection options. There are longer term plans to move all passport application processing back to the UK. We will inform customers as soon as we know when and how this will affect the service.
What will this mean for me? As a British national living overseas you will still have the ability to apply for your passport overseas whether it is a renewal or you are applying for the first time. When making your application you will need to allow time for the passport to be returned. In line with the service in the UK, for customers renewing a passport we aim to return your new passport within four weeks from receipt of correct

documentation and fee. If you are applying for a passport for the first time you should allow at least six weeks. For more information see the FCO website www.fco.gov.uk
Will there be any additional cost? Yes. You will need to pay to send your application (and any supporting documents) to the Regional Passport Processing Centre and for the return of your new passport and supporting documents. We will keep our customers informed of any future price changes.
What should I do now? > Continue to look after your passport. Identity theft, passport fraud and related crime are on the increase. This is a precious document > Check when your passport expires and plan ahead > When you need a new passport allow plenty of time to renew: Did you know you can renew your passport up to 9 months before it expires? The extra time will be added to the validity of your next passport > Check the local British Embassy/ High Commission/ Consulate website for details on how and where to apply
What if I need a new passport urgently? Should you need to travel urgently and you do not
Changes to Overseas Passport Services
have a full validity passport (including if you have applied for a new one and have not yet received it) the local British Embassy/High Commission/ Consulate will be able to provide you with an emergency travel document to allow you to travel.
What if I lose my passport? You should contact your local British Embassy/High Commission/Consulate for assistance. If you need to travel urgently the Embassy/Consulate will be able to provide an emergency travel document and advise you on the new process of applying for a new full validity passport.
What other options are there? If you travel frequently to the UK and have a UK residential address, you can also apply to renew your passport by post or at your nearest IPS Regional Office. Details about how to apply while resident in the UK can be found at www.direct.gov.uk. Alternatively if you travel frequently you can apply for a second passport. For details please check your local British Embassy/High Commission/ Consulate website.
Where can I find more information now? www.fco.gov.uk The Identity and Passport Service are working with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to ensure that these changes are introduced seamlessly. We look forward to welcoming our overseas customers.

Blue Skies! Dear parents, What a glorious day to end our second week. It is so lovely to see such blue skies. It is a reminder though that the children really must bring in caps, sunscreen and water. During the first week back at school the teachers did thorough assessments of every child in their class to ensure the work being planned caters for each individual child’s needs. Throughout the year the children will be reassessed to ensure progression has been made and to enable us to continually evaluate what we are planning and preparing for the children and that we are challenging them in all areas of the curriculum. As I have visited classes during this second week back, children are settled and working hard and I have been impressed already with the amount of work covered and the standard being produced. Lovely displays are appearing around the school and whenever you have an opportunity, please take a wander round and have a look as it gives you an accurate picture of what is being covered in school. This evening the Parent Society is holding their fist social event and I hope many of you are able to pop in and enjoy a glass of wine and a nibble. On Tuesday 14th September at 9am in the Dining room all parents are very welcome to attend the first meeting of this academic year and learn a bit more about what our Parent Society does. Please be aware that After School Activities start on Tuesday 14th September for Y1-6 children and buses will leave at 4.30pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Can I also remind all parents of Y1-6 children that Mr Young is on duty everyday from 8.15am outside, so please do not leave any children unattended till that time. Have a lovely weekend Janet Brock Headteacher, Sanlitun Campus

Paper plate faces!
This week in Pre-Nursery we have had a great week.
We have been learning how to follow instructions and have been playing the game ‘Can you copy me’. We have been having lots of fun clapping our hands, stamping our feet, tapping our knees and nodding our heads. We have also painted our caring hands to remind us to share and be kind to each other.
Nursery has been learning about a topic called “All About Me’. We have been looking in mirrors and thinking about what colour hair and eyes we have got and have made our very own paper plate faces to look just like ourselves. Both classes have got together to play ring games and sing songs and we have been very busy making new friends in our classes. Sam Dashwood
EAL
It was a busy but successful first full week of EAL lessons at Sanlitun! New students have all adjusted well to their routine, and returning students acclimated quickly to the new EAL classroom, picking up right where they left off last July. Even better, some of our beginner students have already been spotted speaking English with friends on the playground! This is the best way to improve proficiency quickly (while having a lot of fun). Here’s a tip for all of our students: When you get home from school at the end of the day, keep practicing everything you learned in your EAL lesson! Find an English speaker there and talk, talk, talk! Mr. Fromer and Mr. Michalak

A big Bear Hunt! Year 1 were very excited to start their very first topic ‘All About me’. The children discussed what they would like to find out about their friends in this topic such as: where we were born, what languages we speak, our favourite hobbies, our families and what we look like. We started by thinking about what makes us special and unique and we shared our ideas with the rest of the class. We then talked about all the different countries where we were born and found them on a world map! The children had great fun in Literacy this week as the children became superstar actors and acted out the story of ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ outside on the roof of the gym…………..whilst being filmed! The children were then giggling with laughter, as they watched their performances back on the big screen (our class white boards). Year 2 also started their new topic this week, ‘At the Seaside’. The children shared their own experiences by bringing in pictures and souvenirs they had collected from different seasides around the world, these have been beautifully displayed in every classroom. The children talked about the different countries where they have visited the seaside and labeled them on a map. They talked about the differences in weather and type of coastline in these countries. The children have also started to make beautiful seaside collages in groups showing the different sorts of seasides.
Library
Dear Parents, I am Catherine Mang—SLT librarian. I have been working in BSB over 3 years. In our SLT primary and foundation libraries, we have more than ten thousand books to cater for different age groups. Our titles cover a wide range of authors and genres which will stimulate your child’s imagination and widen their knowledge. Our libraries have comfortable and cozy environments to encourage children to come and read. All children are invited to come and change their library books as often as they wish. I hope you and your child/ren will enjoy the books together. If you have any concerns or queries regarding your child/ren’s reading please do not hesitate to contact me at catherine.mang@ britishschool.org.cn. Warm regards, Catherine SLT librarian

Food Hero vs. Food Villain Year 6 in Sanlitun are very proud to announce the new house captains for 2010-11. Many children wanted to be house captains this year and every candidate gave fantastic, rousing speeches to their peers. Public speaking is a very difficult skill but every child without exception gave confident, powerful performances that left their classmates with an incredibly hard choice. Congratulations to our new house captains I am sure they will do an outstanding job. Green house: Yoko Yamashita –I will make sure that my team cooperates together to make a strong team. I will also hope that my team is an organized, friendly team Even though we might not win every competition I would still want my team to congratulate others. Max Li – I have been at BSB for over 5 years, and I know the way the Saxons do things here. The green house is strong in many ways, but we also have our weaknesses. As house captain I will take my place with great honor, and I believe that the greens are the
greatest if we believe in ourselves. Red house: Gwennie Tan – I am honored to be the house captain of the mighty Normans this year. Though we may not always win, we shall never give up until we reach victory. Normans are strong but weak in many ways. So we must cooperate and strive harder than ever this year. “Normans, you can count on me!” Marcell Vajda – I will do my best for you to unite our best efforts which will lead us to unbelievable achievements! I will be a great friend whom you can always count on, and a good captain, who will always know where to navigate the Norman fleet! Norman friends believe in yourselves and nothing will be impossible! Yellow House: Pearl Kilano – I am the female house captain of the Vikings and I really think that we are the best! I will be a great role model for other Vikings. If we lose a competition we still have the opportunity to gain other achievements. Go Vikings! Jaeyoung Kim – This year I’m going to make the Vikings victorious. Sometimes it won’t come true but never give up! Please help our team to be mighty, strong and encourage all Vikings. Blue house: Dayna Lewis – I want to be able to lead our team proudly through house competitions to the best of my ability. I want to be able to make a difference in the Romans by being a good sportsman; cheering for others; doing the best I can and more importantly, having fun. Kimbo Weng - I am the house captain of Romans. I can give advice in sports. We will use our team work to win the events. As Romans we want to retain the house shield that we worked so hard to win last year. Most importantly, have fun and try your hardest. Chris Thomas

Chinese
The Chinese department has had a great week. In Foundation, children enjoyed the Chinese songs very much and they love the Chinese stories. In KS1 students were happy to talk about their family members in Chinese. KS2 students had a quick review on what they learnt last term. We are very exited to see if students can still remember so many words and sentences in Chinese, and see if they can write so many characters after such a long summer holiday. This Friday, September 10th, is the Teacher’s Day in China. As the culture part of the Chinese lessons we talked about teacher’s day and students’ life in China.
PE
In the Foundation stage we have been increasing our confidence with our movement skills using different equipment. We have been moving forwards, backwards, sideways and can stop as soon as we are instructed. This week in PE we learned football passing techniques for year s 1-6. Everyone had a great time practicing using the inside of their foot to pass the ball. We were so impressed by everyone’s effort in passing accurately and were happy to see all of our students having so much fun. If you want to get even better, keep practicing over the weekend at park! In years 4-6 at Sanlitun this week we have been learning about HealthRelated Fitness (HRF). Well done to Steven and Rebecca in Y5, and Sasha and Jay in Y6 who ran the furthest in our ‘mini Cooper Run’! All classes performed very well in what is a build up to the ISAC Cross-Country event in a few weeks time.

A Message from the Head of Primary, Shunyi
Settled In Nicely
This week all children from Reception class to Year 6 have been assessed by their teachers in the basic skills or reading, spelling, writing and maths. With these assessments in hand, staff have now determined which ability group each child will start the year in for reading, writing and maths, and targets can now be set with the older children. Pupils who need extra help with any area have been spotted, and support programmes start next week. Those who need stretched due to having excellent skills already will join peers of the same ability in their differentiated groups and may join our Gifted and Talented programmes too. In Y5 and Y6, we have moved to have maths sets across each year group this academic year. The children will be placed in maths group which is lead by the same teacher each lesson in the same classroom. In this way, we can focus every aspect of the lesson at exactly the right level for the children to ensure maximum progress is made and maximum fun is had. Some pupils may move set if they progress faster than their peers or if they require further support in a particular area of mathematics. Targets will be discussed with all pupils and the lessons will have the same fast packed, practical focus as before. Maths attainment at BSB is high already and this new way of working will ensure all pupils have their brain fully ‘stretched’ in ability focused lessons. We have 2 new resident friends at BSB as of today. You might have spotted in last week’s Vox an advert from the Prince family who needed to find new homes for Tom and Twinkle their beloved guinea pigs. Well, the Primary School had vacant housing for 2 pets and so we volunteered. Tom and Twinkle joined us today at assembly and the children have been challenged to think of 2 appropriate Chinese names for our new furry friends – ideas to me please. Families wishing to “guinea pig- sit” over the weekend should contact me. It’s a great way to experience the responsibility and enjoyment of pet ownership (for a couple of days, that is). The guinea pigs’ new quarters are in the Foundation Stage playground, but they will visit all classes during the year. Have a lovely weekend. Jane Smith HoP

Hand prints and ‘Let’s Pretend’
This week in Teddies Pre-School 1, the children have been learning songs such as ‘Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes’ and ‘Open-Shut Your Hands’. They have been busy in practising their gross motor skill by jumping and running! In Teddies Pre-School 2 the children have been doing really well in adjusting themselves to the new school life—getting to know the daily routines and learning the class rules such as using quiet voices and gentle hands and being kind to others. They have been introduced to the ‘Superstar’ reward system to help them remember the class rules. They have been talking about themselves and their families, drawing and painting pictures of themselves and making lovely little hand prints. Their lovely work has been put on display in their classroom! They have been getting to know each other, making new friends, and having lots of fun singing ‘Say Hello’ during carpet time in the morning! Nursery children were also continuing the topics of ‘Ourselves’ this week. They talked about their likes and dislikes and their families. They talked about parts of a body and made hand and foot prints! They had lots of fun lying on giant pieces of paper to make life-size cutouts of themselves! In Reception the topic has been ‘Let’s Pretend’. The children made lovely props and used their imaginations to pretend to be people who help us in our community, from Ayis to firefighters, policemen and doctors. In numeracy, they have been learning all about circles and using them in their art work--cutting and drawing them in the fascination station, for example. They have been doing lots of counting and using lots of mathematical language such as more and less. It has been a busy week in the Foundation Stage! Jade Oak (Teddies 2 teacher)

Ogres and the Seaside Year 1 have been reading and role playing the well known story called “We’re going on a Bear Hunt.” The children have been making their own hunting stories featuring aliens, ogres, rabbits and other creatures. The children have also been learning about self portraits in art, and have started to draw the outline of their faces, ready to paint next week. In literacy this week, Year 2 have been reading the traditional tale of “The Gingerbread Man’. They made their own drawings to sequence the story and practiced their speaking and listening skills by retelling and acting out the story in groups for the rest of the class. In our first topic ‘The Seaside’ we talked about the countries we have visited that have a coastline. The children then did a brilliant job using the index to look for the various countries in our atlases. Dawn Ross
Key Stage Two , Shunyi This week has been Assessment week; Year 3 and 4 children have been tested in Reading, Writing and Math, ready to begin learning at an appropriate and challenging level for them next week. However, we have also been having a lot of fun. Year 3 have been introduced to the topic ‘Oceans and Life under the Sea’ and began by describing what is under the sea and learning about all the different animals that live there. They have produced some wonderful work that has been displayed in the corridor, please come and have a look! Year 4 have been quizzing each other on what they already know about ‘The Romans’, and deciding what they would like to find out about over the term. They have also been relating their own experiences to the concept of settlement. Finally if you see skeletons taking over our classrooms that’s because Year 4 are learning about ‘Moving and Growing’, starting with bones. Can you think why we need a Skelton? Team building and School Jungle
It’s been a great start to the year in Upper Key Stage Two! We played some great team building games so that all our new arrivals could make new friends quickly, and that’s exactly what happened! Take a look at some of the photos of Year 6 playing ‘Across the Swamp, they really had to gel as a team in order to move the water from one side of the swamp to the other. In Literacy Year 6 have been moving around the school, our focus is poetry and we have been collecting ideas for a poem we will be writing called ‘School Jungle’. The children have been coming up with some fantastic metaphors and similies and have been personifying all the school fixtures and furniture, so watch out for ‘murderous scissors’ in a classroom near you! Year 5 have also been wondering around the school, searching for clues! To help all the new children find their way around the Year 5 team came up with a treasure hunt, which by all accounts was a great success! Year 5’s topic this term is ‘Explorers’ and the children will be making a huge 3D map of the World, work has already commenced and we can’t wait to see the finished article! Well done to all the children for their positive hard working approach to the year. Geraldine Thomason

Primary Music The music department started the year with a special assembly as an introduction to our instrumental program, where all the children had an opportunity to listen to a selection of string, woodwind, brass and percussion instruments performed by our peripatetic teachers and some very talented young players. As a result of the live experience and the traditionally high standard of our instrumental lessons we have had a large number of children signing up for individual lessons. In the music classrooms we are lucky to have two new teachers on board this year! Ms. Marguerite Chaplin, as a very experienced music teacher is a true believer of the importance of encouraging composition work in class. Under her leadership the children in primary school will get several opporutnities to try their creativity based on musical knowledge and to perform their work to their parents. Ms Kelly, who is a great instrumental player as well as a music teacher will guide foundation children to understand and appreciate music, enjoy singing in class and she will help out with the string lessons working with the violin groups. PIPS lessons this year are structured as they were from the Summer Term last year: in Year 1 every child plays the recorder, in Year2 to Year 4 we are offering the violin and the cello and in Year 5 and Year 6 the children can choose between the flute, the clarinet or the trumpet. Selected children will perform on their PIPS instruments at the upcoming primary concert in November and everyone gets an opportunity to play for and audience at the Music Circus earlier next spring. Besides the music lessons, PIPS lessons and one-on-one instrumental lessons the children can join numerous musical activities. The Junior Choir and Chamber Choir will run at lunch time at both campuses, Lower School Choir for Year 1 to Year 3 will run as an ASA and children can join the Junior String Ensemble on their violins and cellos. What an exciting year of music! Vera Mitford
Primary PE It has been another action packed week in Primary PE. The children continue to be enthusiastic and eager to participate in all activities. We welcomed Nursery classes to the timetable this week who were a pleasure to teach. Key Stage 2 have been working on a variety of disciplines in Athletics and have been particularly excited about learning to throw javelin and discus correctly. Key Stage 1 have all participated in a wide range of games designed to improve their basic skills. Foundation Stage have been working hard to improve their hand-eye coordination whilst playing a variety of games. Next week we will be looking for children who would like to participate in a Cross Country event. More details to be announced in assembly. Katie Robinson

Key stage 1 The main EAL focus for Key Stage 1 this week has been classroom support. We’ve also used this week to observe the children in a classroom setting in order to gauge their full English ability. In the coming weeks we’re hoping to take the pupils out of class much more. The aim will be to equip the children with some essential English skills. This will allow them to feel more confident in class and to interact more with their fellow classmates. Key stage 2 This week key Stage 2 has produced some very good work. Together, we’ve worked towards designing two wall displays for the corridor. Firstly, the children studied CVC words (consonant, vowel, consonant) and then went about putting these CVC words in to pictures for the display. Key Stage 2 also looked at different nationalities and their flags. They drew and coloured some wonderful flags from around the world as part of our ‘Where in the world am I from’? lesson. We now have two brilliant displays outside the EAL classroom. Another great week for the EAL children. Mr. Jonathan Chatters and Miss. Shelley Simpson. EAL department.

It’s been another busy and fresh week for students at SY Primary of all year groups in the Chinese classroom. Students are getting excited to meeting new classmates and new teachers in their group and get started to know each other well. Secondary Dear Parents, The first week in the Secondary School was a busy and exciting one. Students have been busy working out where they should be as well as meeting new teachers and making new friends, either in the classroom or on the field at break times. The week started with a whole school assembly and singing from the whole school, with the year 7’s singing the loudest and the clearest of them all and showing the rest of the school how it should be done. We also introduced the new Head Boy Tommy Siu and Head Girl Min Jung Kang whose role it will be to field the views of the other students and help with the running of the school. In addition we have eight additional roles of responsibility to help the Head boy and girls – these are called prefects and they are Randy Zhang, Ryder Kin, Prateek Pandey , Tom Cho, Hannah Jiang, Rachel Machio, Film Vichienthong and Nurazlin Mohamed Khalit. The assembly finished with a few words from the Head of School before they returned to their rooms under the guidance of their Tutors. The rest of the week consisted of meeting new teachers and getting to grips with new topic as well as learning how to work their brains again after such a long holiday. The students have really impressed me how quickly they can get back to work in the classroom, but also on the sports field and in the pool. There was a huge turn out in the Aquabears Open swim Meet on the 28 August and all the staff were impressed with the talent and enthusiasm of over 70 students that took part. Students signed up for their ASA and sports option this week with a view to these starting in week 3. Having seen these, there is a vast array of options that will stretch both mind and body and I am confident that all the secondary students will embrace the programme wholeheartedly. In addition to teaching and running ASA’s teachers are also busy planning the residential trip which will take place from 18th to 22nd September. These are primarily fun experiences for the students and will allow them to stretch their talents outside the classroom. They will be challenging and encourage the students to communicate with each other and work as a team. These are an integral the to BSB philosophy of ensuring that students leave us as better, more able, more responsible and more confident individuals and helping them to fulfill their maximum potential. There will also be opportunities for students to help in community tasks as well as experience the local culture. We have an excellent team of teachers in the pastoral department, expert teachers in the classroom and sports coaches on the field, all ready to lead and encourage your young ones this term. I hope that they remain as upbeat and enthusiastic as they have been this week and look forward to seeing them participate in some of the BSB events that we have scheduled this term. SANLITUN
From the Executive Principal
ear members of the British School of Beijing community, I recently had the pleasure of meeting with members of the Parent Society at the San Li Tun campus. They asked me a number of questions which have relevance for the whole community and I felt it would be appropriate to pass on my answers to the whole school via the newsletter. I was asked if, in the coming years, the curriculum of the school would change and the school would no longer be a British School. I replied that this was absolutely not the case and that the British School of Beijing would of course remain exactly what is now; a British school with all the traditions of the very best of British Education. I was then asked if the tradition of having native English speaking teaching assistants would continue next year as some parents had heard that this would change. I was very happy to reassure parents and tell them that this was one of the many things that made the school special and will continue to be so for very many years to come. The British School of Beijing is going from strength to strength. I am proud to be a small part of that process in conjunction with all members of the community. Of course we aim to constantly improve and reflect on what we do. Our aim is always to help our students thrive. In that regard the strengths of the school should be celebrated and acknowledged, and the two areas above, amongst many others, are very great assets in a very good school. Very warm regards Michael Embley Executive Principal

This will take place every Tuesday from 1:20pm in Mrs Azeem’s classroom. Sports U19 Girls Volleyball vs CISB The girls started their season tentatively showing CISB a little too much respect in the first set. However they became increasingly confident as the game progressed. They began to put the training they had into practice and were able to force the match into a fifth and final set. Unfortutely they were not able to effectively deal with some strong serving and the match slipped away. All of the girls should be very pleased with their performances. Final score BSB 2 CISB 3 (8-25, 25-23, 17-25, 25-21, 8-15) Girl of the Game: Rebekka Mannes
U14 Football result Start of the season and both teams where feeling nervous and very anxious, however the buzz and excitement of the new soccer season kicking off was enough to get the bears to a winning start and Harrow. In the first half the bears got off to a excellent start by scoring a fantastic free kick in the first 5 minutes of play and from then the boys continued with the pressure and by the end of the first half the bears where 3-0. However in the second half with new changes and faces to the team and with legs getting tired, harrow narrowed the score by 3-2. Nevertheless the boys played with excellent team spirit and sportsmanship and managed to get the winning goal right at the end of the game. Great result and thrilling game to watch and the bears fully deserved the victory and he is hoping for more to come in the near future.

Twinkle and Tom are two extremely cute, friendly Guinea Pigs but due to a house move we can no longer give them the room they need. They have a cage but we also let them run around in a pen and unfortunately we will not have room for this when we move into a small apartment. We can give you a cage, food bowl, water bottles and any information you may need if you can give them a loving home with a bit of space to run about in. They are very used to children!
