LEVELS ILSC has 10 English language levels ranging from Beginner One (B1) to Advanced Two (A2). Each session lasts 4 weeks and includes a re-assessment of your language level at the end of the session. You move through the levels according to your successful completion of a course.

Creative English – Storytelling
Improve your speaking and listening skills through dynamic group activities and lively classroom discussion. Learn to express your ideas in diverse social situations and build vocabulary in a wide range of subjects.
Get ready to join the workforce! Study and improve basic Business English, vocabulary and idioms, common dialogues, telephone skills, listening and pronunciation.
Explore the creative side of English through speaking, listening, reading, writing and grammar. Learning methods include dramatic role-plays, storytelling, music and drawing.

English in Action Develop all key language skills through integrated English learning. The focus is on activity-related English that you can practice through afternoon activities. When practice follows learning - your English improves quickly. Daily use of what you learn enriches your American experience.
Academic Preparation
This course helps students build their communication skills for business at the intermediate level. Topics include marketing, résuméwriting, job interview techniques and effective telephone communication.
Business Writing and Interview Skills Become an expert in résumé, cover letter and report-writing and discover how to best present your qualifications during job interviews. You will be videotaped and critiqued to improve professional presentation, pronunciation and formal language skills.
Business Culture and Presentation Skills
Master both the written and spoken word through a variety of creative techniques. You will work on grammar and writing for different genres and transform those into speech such as descriptive conversation and dialogue role-play.
English Through Yoga Learn to give and follow physical instructions accurately while mastering the vocabulary of anatomy, health, nutrition and movement. You will also gain physical strength, flexibility and stress management skills.
People and Places Through Time
Designed to help you pursue further studies at American universities and colleges, this course will strengthen your grammar, reading and writing skills in an academic context.
Increase your cross-cultural awareness, study American and world business etiquette and even discover how to use humor in the workplace. Master the essentials of effective presentations to build confidence in your ability to organize and deliver a speech in front of a business audience.

ACCOMMODATION AND ACTIVITIES

ACCOMMODATION HOMESTAY If you would like to experience American family life, then homestay is an excellent accommodation option. It’s a great way to take your English out of the classroom and into real life. Most homestay families provide two meals per day (breakfast and dinner), a single room and shared bathroom. Breakfast only or a shared room option are also available. Our carefully selected homestay families provide a friendly and caring environment - a home away from home. Also, homestay families live within one hour from the school, by public transportation.
STUDENT RESIDENCES Meet students and travelers from all around the world! If you would like more independence, a student residence in San Francisco is another excellent accommodation option. You can choose between a single or shared room with a private bathroom, or a single or shared room with a shared bathroom. ILSC only selects clean and friendly student residences where you will feel comfortable and secure. All ILSC student residences are within a 15-minute walk from the school.
