London has something for everyone. It is a global, cosmopolitan city full of different influences and tastes, so you’re sure to fit right in. It certainly deserves its reputation as one of the most exciting cities in the world.
Greenwich Greenwich is unique! A World Heritage Site with stunning architecture and cultural history, rightly deemed to be of World significance, set within a modern and vibrant quarter of London. Greenwich Borough has a diverse cultural life, good transport links, eight miles of Thames river frontage and top class facilities for sport, theatre, music and dance. The borough of Greenwich has a wealth of visitor attractions, which helps to bring in over 9 million visitors a year to the area. Greenwich is located in London Transport’s Travel Zone-2. Greenwich is very well served by public transport, with mainline rail and Docklands Light Railway stations in the town centre. This means that central London, Tower Hill (for The Tower of London, Tower Bridge and St. Paul’s) or Charing Cross (for Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus and Covent Garden) are just 20 minutes away. You can also use the Thames Clipper boat service to central London The whole area is very student focused, with Greenwich University, Goldsmiths’ College, The Laban Centre and Trinity College of Music all in the immediate vicinity. This means that there is a thriving student buzz throughout the area.

We are passionate about Greenwich and believe it offers the best of both worlds. It is a green and pleasant place to live and study, and within easy access of central London.

Principal’s Statement
StudyCentres Greenwich
As the Principal of the school, I am aware that the people who choose to come to us are not just our students - they are our guests. For them to benefit fully from our excellent academic programmes, we need to ensure that all their other needs have been met. We know that, although it is always an exciting adventure to come to another country to study, it can sometimes also be a little overwhelming. For this reason we put a strong emphasis on all aspects of our students’ stay. My door is always open and I encourage our students to come to me for support with any challenge they may face as they settle into ‘The London Life’.
We have recently completed a £1million redevelopment of our ISIS Greenwich school providing a fantastic centre where you can enjoy studying in London. Our stylish and modern study centre is located right in the heart of historic Greenwich. Students are welcomed into an open and spacious reception area and classes take place in large, bright and airy classrooms, fitted with interactive whiteboards. We have 3 computer suites with 35 computers available to all students and the building has free wi-fi and is air-conditioned throughout.
London is a vibrant, cosmopolitan city. As Samuel Johnson famously noted, ‘whoever is tired of London is tired of life!’ With the help of our students and the experience of our staff we have developed social programmes that encourage and support every student to make the most of the exciting and interesting opportunities that the City has to offer. We are proud to offer our students fantastic facilities that are so close to the heart of the city, and yet, situated in the leafy, calm oasis that is historic Greenwich. However, it is the social environment within the school - created by the mix of diverse cultures and nationalities sharing this wonderful new space – that makes ISIS Greenwich the ideal place to study in London.
School foyer
The school
We also have 2 social rooms where we hold regular student events – discos, karaoke and international food nights - or they provide a comfortable space where you can just relax and chat with your new friends. ISIS Greenwich is situated 2 minutes walk from the centre of Greenwich, South East London (Travel Zone-2). Location is very much part of our ISIS Greenwich refurbishment project completed July 2011. success. Within walking distance you will find a huge variety of shops, cafes, bars and pubs. There is a multi-screen cinema opposite the school where you can enjoy all the latest movies and Greenwich Post Office next door (handy for postcards and changing your money!). If you are feeling active after a hard day at school, the beautiful Greenwich Park is only two minutes on foot - as are a wealth of World Heritage Status cultural attractions such as The National Maritime Museum, The Old Royal Naval College (now Greenwich University), The Royal Observatory and the famous Zero Meridian line. The London Planetarium has also recently relocated to Greenwich. If you want to enjoy all of central London’s attractions, the very centre of London (Charing Cross) is just three stops away by direct train (20 minutes). From Charing Cross you can walk to Trafalgar Square, Westminster, Covent Garden and Piccadilly Circus. We look forward to welcoming you to Greenwich.

One of the most vibrant, colourful and creative cities in Europe. Cosmopolitan, compact, energetic, unique, fun, lively, historic, young, exotic and free-spirited, it’s a city like no other.
Brighton is much more than the seaside. Under an hour from London (49 minutes on a fast train), Brighton is located on England’s south coast, between the stunning South Downs and the English Channel. Walking round Brighton you have 400 years of history in front of you. Brighton is positively overflowing with things to do and places to visit – and being such a compact city, most are walkable. The city has everything you could want from a trip to Britain - a royal palace, a Victorian pier, elegant Regency architecture, museums & culture, laid-back beach life and superb shopping. Brighton’s diversity also extends to its choice of restaurants. With more than 400 to choose from you can eat your way around the world! It also hosts many year round festivals and events, including England’s largest arts festival every May. Its club scene is internationally known. Live music is a way of life in Brighton, and well-known DJs are always in town and people travel from far and wide for a night out in the city.

Principal’s Statement Welcome to StudyCentres Brighton. Here in Brighton you’ll find a friendly school right by the sea. We truly cater for our students as individuals and I am proud to say that not only do we aim to know all of our students by name, we also do our best to get to know them as people.
Helen Quin, Principal, StudyCentres Brighton
From your first day you’ll meet all of the team, both teachers and the office staff and we’re always available to listen to you and help you to make your stay in Brighton as much fun and as productive as it can possibly be. When you arrive you’ll be given all the information you need about your classes, the school and of course about Brighton, one of England’s most vibrant and diverse seaside cities. I’ve lived in different countries and cities but for me, Brighton has something special that always makes me want to come back. It’s a unique place, with all the buzz, culture and diversity of a city combined with the beauty, fun and relaxing feel of a seaside town. Brighton truly has something for everyone and I’m sure that during your stay at StudyCentres Brighton, you’ll find that special something that will make you want to come back too.
Lesson in action
StudyCentres Brighton Founded in 1999, StudyCentres Brighton has a strong reputation as welcoming school, with up to 150 students. We have a dedicated team who really do want to ensure that you become part of the school community. The school is located in a beautiful five storey Regency building, typical of Brighton, with views over the sea. The school facilities include nine classrooms, a social room with internet access, a self-study centre and a student kitchen. During busy periods, students may be taught off site, within ten minutes walk of the school. When it’s time to take a break and enjoy the seaside air, students can relax on the lawns of the adjacent Brunswick Square, or take a short stroll to the beautiful seafront. Brighton town centre is within easy walking distance, where you will find many cafes, restaurants and shops. The many suburban Victorian streets, where most of our host families live, are easily accessible - generally by local bus. The town’s two universities and numerous colleges and language schools ensure that there is a lively population of students year-round. It would be great to be part of student life in one of the UK’s coolest towns. Brunswick Square

The City of Dreaming Spires is known the world over for its ancient university and beautiful college buildings, and for 800 years of first-class education history. And now you can be part of it!
What city could be better to study in, than Oxford? Princes and princesses, kings and queens, famous writers and scientists, world-leading politicians – all have studied here among the city’s schools and colleges. An Oxford education is a mark of distinction, one which you will carry with you for the rest of your life. But don’t think life in Oxford is only study. The city is home to 26,000 students, and throbs with vibrant exciting student activity. Every evening the hundreds of bars, cafes and low-cost restaurants (in one street alone there are restaurants from more than 30 different countries!) are full of young people enjoying themselves. There are lots of live music venues, as well as several popular nightclubs. Among Oxford’s fine old university buildings are some of the best shopping streets west of London, while the city boasts five different cinemas, theatres, museums and two art galleries. There is also a city football team (Oxford United), great sports clubs and facilities, ice skating, bowling, summer punting on the river, the oldest Botanic Gardens in Europe and 38 different university colleges to explore and photograph.

And of course, London is close: coaches leave Oxford for our capital city every 10 minutes during the day, so whatever you want to do in London it’s cheap and easy to get there for the afternoon or even just the evening. And did we mention Christ Church College and Harry Potter? Or Alice in Wonderland?

Accommodation It’s a big decision for you. Studying away from home, in another country, a new city, a strange language! We appreciate this and understand that your accommodation is key to the success of your stay.
Homestay Options There are many reasons to choose homestay accommodation. The opportunity to practise your English everyday allows you to maximise your studies and put theory into practice. Breakfast and dinner are provided (half-board), so all you have to worry about is where and with whom to eat lunch. It also offers you security and a warm welcome to the UK. All our homestays are very carefully chosen and regularly inspected, as required by British Council Accreditation UK regulations. In Brighton, we have our own in-school accommodation officer, who manages all our homestays. In Greenwich and Oxford we use experienced and well established agencies, with whom we have long-term partnerships to guarantee the quality of provision you would expect. Hosts can be people from all walks of life: working families, single parents or retired couples, but the welcome they offer should be the same. We can offer the option of single or twin share bedrooms. Most accommodation offers shared bathrooms facilities and all offer laundry facilities. All bedrooms will be fully furnished and bed linen is provided. At all our StudyCentres, homestays are located in suburban residential areas. Most are not within easy walking distance and require the use of local buses to travel to and from the schools. The average travel time is 15-45 minutes, we feel this is also part of the experience of living in the UK. We can help you buy local travel passes for easy jump-on jump-off local travel. When you receive your homestay address details from us, you will also receive a map showing the location in relation to the school and travel directions. We choose our homestays not only for the quality of accommodation but also for the personal interest they have in our students’ progress and welfare. Our homestays are regularly inspected to ensure that standards are maintained.
31 Residential Options We can offer year-round residential accommodation at all three schools, details of which are shown below. All requests are subject to availability at the time of booking. During the summer months (July and August) we have a number of other residential options available at all schools, which our booking staff will be happy to discuss with you.
