You have waited so long for your senior year. It is FINALLY here. This is YOUR year! Senior portraits are such a huge part of your senior year, and I want to make this experience amazing for you!
2-3 WEEKS BEFORE YOUR SESSION
I like to meet with my clients for a clothing consultation and help you pick out 3-5 different looks that will photograph the best. This is optional but recommended. Sometimes what we look good in doesn’t always photograph the best. This is a good time to talk about your session and discuss location. 5

WEEK BEFORE PHOTO SHOOT
Search for pictures from magazines, Pinterest and online of hairstyles and makeup that you like. Print them out or save them on your phone. Bring ideas to the salon on the day of your session.
2 HOURS BEFORE SHOOT
Make sure you show up 10-15 minutes early to the salon. Wear a loose fitting button up shirt or large neck hole for easy removal after hair and makeup. Bring all your clothes ironed and ready for your photo shoot.

We will meet for your ordering session. All decision makers need to be present for the ordering session. Order and payment must be made at this time. There will be a $75 rescheduling fee if you need me to come back a second time. 7

Note to Parents: Parents are welcome to join us for the shoot. Depending on the senior, I do ask to give us some space. I’ve found that often times teens tend to be more reserved in front of an audience, especially parents. By separating ourselves, seniors tend to be more relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera.

We’ll work together to choose a location that fits your personalities and desired look. You can add a more personal feel to your session by choosing a location and/ or theme that reflects your personality. I will give you some ideas, but if you need suggestions, I have plenty of locations.

One of the most stressful parts about getting your pictures taken is figuring out WHAT TO WEAR. Sometimes, what we look good in doesn’t always photograph the best. No worries—I am here to help. I offer all clients a FREE fashion consultation. This isn’t required, but it is highly recommended. Together we will put together 3-4 different looks that will be perfect for your shoot. This is a good time to get to know each other and talk about your session. Before we meet, here are a few basics to know: LAYERING
Layers are perfect for sectioning off your body. Try color-blocking or mixing patterns to emphasize curves. JACKETS
A mid-thigh or short fitted jacket gives your form a slender and polished appearance. BOLD PATTERN
Wear bold patterns to accentuate your favorite assets. LONG DRESSES AND MAXI SKIRTS
A long dress or skirt is an instant leg-lengthener and waist tightener. EMPIRE WAIST
An empire waist is the perfect way to either accentuate your curves or to give you more curves. PICKING COLORS
Choose colors you look good in and that flatter your skin tone. If you have dark hair, avoid dark tops that blend together. Stay away from too much black and too much white. Try to avoid neon tops, because they can cast color on your face.

FORM FITTING
Wear clothes that are form fitting and not too loose or baggy. Look for clothes that have structure and go in at the waist. These shapes generally look best. Stay away from poncho style shirts, tube tops, and excessively baggy clothing, as it tends to make you look wider. ACCESSORIZE
Accessories can polish and complete a look. Hats, blankets, glasses, pets, pompoms, soccer balls, purses, and sunglasses can all add personality to your pictures. Look for inspiration for your photo shoot in magazines and on Pinterest. Dress appropriately for the type of shoot you want. If you want an outdoor session, wear clothes that are flowy and fun. Pair your outfits with sandals, boots, or flats. If you want downtown urban, wear a formal dress with heals, a cute skirt, or a beanie with a pair of Converse.

Okay. So maybe this was all your mom’s idea and you’re just humoring her, but now that you’re in this thing you want your pictures to look awesome! YOUR LOOK
During your session we will have time for 2-3 clothing changes. I can help you choose those looks if you need a little help. Layering textured sweaters, jackets, etc will photograph great. Please do not include any clothing items with name brand logos in your clothing choices. Graphics on clothing is okay as long as it is part of your look.

BE YOU
Don’t forget to include identity clothing that can visually “define” your interest in an image. Are you involved in any sports or school related activities? By including parts of your uniform or props that make your activity or sport unique, you will add an awesome dimension to your portraits. If you don’t want to wear part of the uniform bring a football or basketball. Think outside the box if your not involved in a school activity. You may be in a band, so bring your guitar. You may be into cars or riding horses. Arrange to have that be apart of your session.

ORDERING SESSION
Your ordering session is an in-person ordering session. When you are ready to view your images for ordering, we will meet either in your home, a coffee shop or mutually agreed on location. We will start the session by viewing your beautiful images in a
slide show set to music. You will be able to view the products that are available so you know exactly what you are ordering and love what you get. During your ordering session you will be able to decide what images will be put in your album or go on your storyboard print. I help decide which images will look best 43
and what sizes are best for what images. My clients love that I can help them decide what goes where and how to tell your story. After your ordering session I will put together proofs and send them to you for final approval. Immediately after your ordering session your payment will be processed and your order is on its way.

When do you do schedule your sessions? Sessions are schedule on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There is a $100 surcharge for weekends and holidays.
What time does my session start? Your session will start 2 hours before the sun sets and your make up will start 2 hours before that. Time varies with seasons.
When will my photos be ready? It usually takes 10-14 days to edit your images. Once your order is placed you can expect your prints and product within 2-3 weeks.
What type of payment do you accept? I accept all major credit cards, checks and cash. Your print and product order payment is due during your ordering session. There is a $500 minimum order requirement.
