This range comprises die cast lanterns, pedestals and lamp posts, decking and pathway lights, polycarbonate bulkheads and a premium range of stainless steel architectural fittings which will enhance the appearance of any open area.

Every product is produced under the most rigorous QC procedures using the very best raw materials such as steel, zinc, glass, cable and flex and componentry. All products are tested and approved to relevant BS and EN Standards and are delivered throughout the U.K. and Ireland from our centrally located 41,000 ft2 Midlands distribution centre. Substantial stock holding and industry leading service levels ensure that more than 97% of all orders shipped are received next day.

Whilst halogen lamps are still popular and in constant use, lamp technology continues to advance at a pace with the evolution of some exciting low energy light sources such as compact fluorescent and LED lights. Amongst the new products in the CLICK range are a number of fittings utilising these innovative light sources.

All CLICK lighting products are supplied through the electrical wholesale trade and a national chain of Approved CLICK Stockists provides first class service and local availability of all the products shown herein. new FLAMEGUARD system Fire and acoustic rated low voltage and mains GU10 downlighters Full 90 minute fire rating - Tested and approved to BS 476 Pt21 1987. Acoustically tested to BS EN ISO 140-3 1995 and BS EN ISO 140-6 1998. The CLICK FLAMEGUARD system is a means of installing low voltage and mains downlighters with integral fire and acoustic properties. All of these products have been independently tested and approved to meet the requirements of BS 476 Pt21 1987 and BS EN ISO 140-3 1995 and BS EN ISO 140-6 1998. They satisfy all relevant sections of current Building Regulations.

FIXED

The 'FLAMEGUARD System' products are manufactured with the fire and acoustic retentive qualities incorporated. The FLAMEGUARD System has been applied initially to the CLICK range of low voltage and mains GU10 downlighters illustrated here. Forget about costly and difficult to install fire hoods. FLAMEGUARD downlighters are all you need for a neat and safe lighting solution. ADJUSTABLE

Built-in protection against spread of fire and noise pollution Low voltage and mains voltage downlighters are established as one of the most popular methods of illuminating domestic and commercial premises. The quality of light output together with their compact size and flush fitting will almost certainly ensure their ongoing popularity. One of the drawbacks of the use of such downlighters is that the cut-outs made to accommodate the downlighter compromise the integrity of the fire seal of the ceiling material in the event of a fire. The FlameGuard System found in CLICK downlighters has been designed to effectively restore the fire integrity of such ceilings as well as providing an acoustic barrier.

Ventilation In normal operating conditions, the luminaire body is ventilated, thus allowing heat from the lamp to be dissipated around the void surrounding the fitting.

FlameGuard Seal #1 A circular disc of FlameGuard intumescent material is located in the cap of the downlighter, sealing the cap of the fitting in the event of a fire.

Mains or low voltage supply terminated at connector block. Cable restraints and terminal cover ensure secure connection and prevent any deposit build-up on terminals

Provides a physical barrier to restrict the expansion of the intumescent seal downwards into the downlighter body. The expanding seal is forced upwards into the ventilation holes in the top of the downlighter, restoring an airtight seal in the event of fire.

Steel Body Rigid steel body construction acts as supplementary fire and noise barrier as well as providing intrinsic rigidity and durability.

Lampholder Ceramic lampholder for either GU5.3 low voltage lamp or GU10 mains voltage lamp.

Spring Fixing Arms These heavy duty fixing springs allow the luminaire to be clamped securely to the ceiling providing a permanent and secure installation. No additional fixings or supports are required.

FlameGuard Seal #2 A ring of FlameGuard intumescent material is fitted around the circumference of the downlighter body which will seal the ceiling cut-out in the event of a fire.

All of the features outlined on this page relate to all FlameGuard luminaires regardless of whether they are the fixed, adjustable or eyeball versions of the fittings.

How does it work?

The FlameGuard intumescent seal, when exposed to fire, forms a dense carbon char which separates and insulates the substrate from the heat of the fire. The expanded seal eliminates the flow of air through the void and thereby starves the fire of vital elements for combustion.

All FlameGuard System downlighters carry the ‘F Mark’. Suitable for mounting into normally flammable material, i.e. wood.

Approvals & Standards FlameGuard System downlighters have been fully tested and approved as fire and acoustic rated fittings according to the following criteria: Fire tested to full 90 minute rating by Chiltern International Fire and approved to BS 476 Part 21 1987.

Installation The 3 stage ease of fit process

Simplicity and ease of installation have been the bywords in designing the FlameGuard downlighters. Installation is as simple as with conventional downlighters. No special tools. No special preparation. The compact design of the FlameGuard System incorporated into these downlighters allows installation into even the tightest of spaces. Unlike the addition of fire hoods fitted to the rear of the downlighter, the FlameGuard system fittings are installed in the same way as most conventional downlighters. Potential savings are therefore available in both obviating the cost of fire hoods and the additional installation work associated with them.

The Benefits of the Installation The FlameGuard System downlighters allow installation into plasterboard ceilings thicknesses of up to 36mm. The integrity of the fire resistant and acoustic properties of the ceiling material are restored after installation.

Lamp Information FlameGuard luminaires have been tested to a full 90 minute fire rating using up to 50W 12V and 240V 50mm lamps. All fittings are supplied with lamp selected from one of the following types: LA335 35W 12V GU5.3

compact fluorescent range 50mm Miniature Compact Fluorescent Downlighter Until now, low energy lamps have been obtrusive, bulky and unsightly. Our new miniature compact fluorescent fitting employs the very latest in low energy cfl lamp technology to provide a flush fitted downlighter which can be installed as a direct replacement or substitute for a standard 50mm low voltage or mains downlighter.

Photometric Tables Click Polar Curve The Click Polar Curve is a graphical illustration of the luminous intensity distribution of the light fitting and provides a rough idea of the shape of the light distributed from a light fitting.
