Residence

Your Residence and university experience is full of opportunities to get involved, explore your interests and grow as a young adult.

Residence Life Staff (RLS) are a network of upper year mentors that live within your residence community. They are responsible for fostering a supportive living environment that embraces diversity, mutual respect, and encourages good citizenship.

Get involved!

Engaging in the events, programs, and opportunities that RLS provide allows students to develop resilience, independence, emotional intelligence, and life skills that will be used throughout their Brock experience and beyond.

Weekly community meetings, events and regular intentional one on one conversations help students cultivate

lifelong relationships and build connections with RLS and campus resources.

Residence students have the opportunity to be involved in leadership on campus from day one through Residence Action Council (RAC), a student governing body comprised of elected representatives from each community in Residence. RAC

members plan building and campus wide events and consult with Housing and Dining staff throughout the year.

Within residence and campus, various student groups, clubs and committees and volunteer opportunities exist to provide ways for students to get involved as much or as little as they desire.

Lifestyle & Living Learning Communities

We offer both lifestyle and living learning communities (LLCs) for students. Students in a Lifestyle Community request a substance-free or cannabis-free area to live. A Living Learning Community (LLC) is the integration of students who share similar interests, such as an academic subject or non-academic affinity, into a Residence community with programming and support from various areas within the institution.

Lifestyle Communities:

∙ Cannabis Free

∙ Substance Free

Living Learning Communities:

∙ Affinity:

∙ Arts House

∙ Fitness Fans and Healthy Plans

∙ Gaming

∙ Two-Spirited, LGBTQ+ and Allies

∙ Volunteerism and Leadership

∙ Academic

∙ Accounting

∙ Business

∙ Concurrent Education

∙ Nursing
