Underwriting means we decide what risks we take on, what premiums to charge. The difference between us and an insurance company is we don’t actually pay the claims.


BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT As part of a broker’s Membership, they have access to a dedicated Business Development Manager (BDM), who assists them with powering growth within their business. Their BDM will help to identify, develop and support insurer placement opportunities, growth, consolidation and scheme opportunities; help Members to stay abreast of the latest product developments; and much more.

CLIENT MONEY The Client Money team, headed up by Pam Lund, supports nearly 120 Members, offering valuable support in handling their client money compliantly in accordance with the complex FCA CASS 5 regulation. Our expert service is made up of three specialist areas, which are led by Andy Herdman, who covers both Client Money Reconciliation and Client Money Audit, and Colette Hewlett in Insurer Payments. The team help Members navigate this highly regulated and specialised area. They provide daily support to brokers, complete all the Client Money bank reconciliations, pay insurers on their behalf and fulfil all the FCA CASS 5 reporting requirements. The team also offer in-house consultancy services for Members who would like to benefit from learning best practice, client money technical expertise or the bespoke Insurer Reconciliation Service.

LEARNING NETWORK With a unique approach to professional development, the Learning Network is learner centric and offers blended learning to support and enhance your development. The team do this by giving you a range of training opportunities through career development programmes, workshops and digital learning. The Learning Network supports Bravo Group colleagues, Ethos Brokers and Broker Network Members.

MARKETING CONSULTANCY Headed up by Ellie Dreisenstock, the multi award-winning team of digital experts, designers, marketing executives, web developers and copywriters offer expert marketing support. The team works in partnership with our Members to help maximise brand awareness and business opportunities which will ultimately assist with their growth strategy. Offering a full range of on and offline services, the team supports Member marketing activities through designing their brand and positioning, developing a marketing plan, delivering awardwinning campaigns, building and developing their website and analysing the results of their marketing.

We work very similarly to any external marketing agency and we provide a full service including everything from branding to website design.


PLACEMENT SUPPORT With a real passion for people and insurance, the Placement Support team source solutions for difficult to place risks for our Premier and Advantage Members. With Head of Placement Support, Kim Chambers, at the helm, the team of former brokers and underwriters help Members grow by enabling them to win new business and providing support in retaining existing business.

RISK & COMPLIANCE MANAGEMENT Offering a protective arm, our team of Risk & Compliance experts are constantly reviewing their knowledge and keeping abreast of the latest developments to ensure they can offer comprehensive support for Members and provide them with the tools they need to remain compliant. Head of Member Risk & Compliance Management, Donna Walker, works closely with BIBA and attends their regulatory forums. A representative of Bravo Group also sit on the BIBA Regulatory Working Group. The services the team offer include a dedicated Risk & Compliance Consultant for all Premier Members, access to an extensive document library, guides to best practice, sales and administration consultancy and much more.

SYSTEMS CONSULTANCY No matter how big or small the enquiry, the Systems Consultancy team make it their mission to offer assistance and advice on Acturis or OpenGI, helping our Members and Partners to work efficiently. Led by Systems Consultancy Team Leader Katie Nobes, the team boast a wealth of experience in the field and are also able to assist with systems migration and integration, efficiency reviews, and systems training and have designed a fully compliant letter suite for Members to use.
