603 Proposal Bronte Hall
Briefs
⤷ Collage experiments: 17.05 ⤷ Exhibition & Artist Book: 17.05 ⤷ Zine Production: 17.05 ⤷ Print Stuff: 28.04 ⤷ Hookworms poster: 23.02 ⤷ May factor in smaller briefs beside these (secret-7, editorial responses, FORGE magazine…)
Rationale
⤷ They encompass an industry area, format, or subject I’m interested in, such as publishing. ⤷ They are a way for me to push my practice further, building on existing skills or investigating new processes and systems of working. ⤷ There is a focus on content, format, or context (or all three) - what happens when one of these factors is considered more than others? ⤷ The projects will help to develop my portfolio, or be continued with in future

Lessons
⤷ Projects that have more freedom ⤷ I work best with shorter deadlines ⤷ Process-led can result in a considered end product ⤷ Room for process tends to result in better outcomes (drawing, collaging, printing, etc…)
⤷ Self-initiated projects have allowed me to follow my intuition. Could this still occur in external or live briefs? Can experimentation still take place successfully?
