Mascots have been around since the early days of advertising. Some of the oldest brands like Kellogs, Cheetos or rice Crispies have used characters to improve every day recognition of their brand. North American comic book market estimated to be at least $800 million A concept artist is an individual who generates a visual design for an item, character, or area that does not yet exist. This includes, but is not limited to, film, animation, and more recently video game production. Storyboards are easier and faster to read than scripts. Because they are closest to a finished project, they assist a production crew by pointing up troublesome issues which can be corrected early, thus saving time and money. Recognisable characters range from the likes of Superman & Spiderman, to Mario & Sonic, to Pepsi Man & Mr Muscle, to Finn the Human & Homer Simpson
