I transfered the Gestalt ideas into my photography skills. I consider myself to be a good photographer, but am not particularly proud of these photos. However, here are a few of my favorites. Many of these photos are abstract in the sense that the subject is completely black. I did this to convey each object as a shape or line rather than an "object."

It was difficult for me to connect with the three events we had to choose from for this project. I struggled to find a voice in my initial sketches. I found inspiration in other artists and historical photos.

The hand drawn elements represent how the plan of attack was "drawn out" or "blueprinted" by the US. I also used this to represent the reverberation felt physically and emotionally from this event.

The critique for my first draft was well received. My peers enjoyed how each poster flowed into the other. I needed to work on the 3rd.

I studied a Green Turtle, Panther Chameleon and the Giant Pacific Octopus for my initial sketches. I decided I was most intrigued by the mysterious shape of the Giant Pacific Octopus. I practiced simplifying the animal's structure to create an effective logo.
