TECHNOLOGY TRENDS ON THE RISE BROOK W. LANG | BROOKLANGSEATTLE.NET

Technology is constantly changing. Every day, millions of people use new technology to make their lives better. These technologies range from devices like smartphones and computers to applications like Uber and Lyft. But what are the trends that will take off this year?

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the intelligence of machines. When AI first appeared, it was limited to specific tasks like playing chess or search engines, but now it can also do things like drive cars and give presentations. Some are even beginning to worry that AI will someday take over jobs from humans!

VIRTUAL REALITY (VR) Virtual Reality (VR) is a simulation of an environment that takes place within a simulated 3D world. With VR, you’re completely cut off from the real world and only see the virtual one. The virtual world can be anything your mind can imagine!

This trend is currently pretty hot and has been used in video games and movies for years, but now it’s becoming available for the average consumer.

INTERNET OF THINGS (IOT) The Internet of Things (IoT) is the concept that all devices are connected to the internet and can send data to each other. From cars to doorknobs, everything is getting an IP address! IoT makes our lives easier because we can control everything around us remotely.

For example, with IoT, you could set the temperature of your house to cool down when you leave work automatically!

ROBOTS Robots are automatic machines that do tasks on their own. Robots have been used in manufacturing for decades, but they’ve become more advanced and can be found nearly everywhere. Robots can now do tasks like give tours at museums, deliver packages to people’s homes, and even strip!

QUANTUM COMPUTING Quantum Computing is based on quantum mechanics, which studies subatomic particles like electrons and photons. Quantum computers use the properties of these particles to process information at ultra-high speeds.

EDGE COMPUTING To create a stunning presentation, it's best to simplify your thoughts. Start with an outline of topics and identify highlights, which can be applied to whatever subject you plan on discussing. You can then organize them into your introduction, your main content, and your conclusion.
