East Section
CONCEPT. A remote place of retreat with supporting accommodations for visitors to relax and reflect with others. Much like the layers of the forest canopy, the spatial layout of the design designates the public and private zones. As a multi-use facility Twin Larch could welcome small conferences, team building, and also bring profit as an Airbnb for parents weekends and family reunions.
20 /
East Elevation The interior wood beams continue outside to create both visual and physical connections to outdoors. Their directional placement frames the wonderful view by directing the users eyes out and onward.
Entry Statement Wall Custom reclaimed wood represents material transparency and showcases the environment’s natural elements. The bench provides more seating in the front room. The gaps between the boards allow natural light from the skylight through.
