This month is the start of the state assessment season for Brookwood School District 167. Longwood will begin giving the IAR (Illinois Assessment of Readiness) test for our 3rd and 4th Grade students on the week of April 19th. Classroom teachers will share the exact dates and times for each test as we establish those dates. The state allows the IAR test only in person. Therefore, students in remote learning will have the option to come to the school and take the test on Saturday dates that the school district will determine.

What’s Going On...
CY B E R S A F ET Y ! ! ! Cyber Safety As a parent and educator, I am concerned about how vulnerable our children are when it comes to the internet and social media. Many of our children are very knowledgeable about ALL the new social media programs available, some of which are not safe or appropriate. I have heard about some very concerning sites and apps. Below is a link to Common Sense Media. It is an excellent resource for you to stay up to date on what’s out there. We encourage parents to browse histories on their phones, computers, and tablets periodically. Common Sense Media: https://bit.ly/39WVU6J
