W ELCOME Welcome to the first Edition of the New Dawn magazine. Inside the pages of this magazine we will strive to explore thoughts and articles richly inspired by the one and only Holy Spirit. Our goal is to ease all of the tensions both consciously and unconsciously society and life challenges has put on us. To do so we hope to quicken and create an awareness of the abundance of His grace, love and mercy our King and Maker, the one and only true and wise God has in store for us, his children on earth. In spite of all our different experiences as humans on earth or

all the negative reports we may have heard or witnessed each passing second of the day we are and will continue to be safe in His arms and He will keep us from all harm. We must remember His thoughts toward us are of good and not of evil, to bring us to an expected end (Jeremiah 29:11); Which is a life worth living and enjoying, a life full of joy, happiness, endless peace, and above all “love” , genuine love for each other and all Gods creations. So whilst the secular media fills us with all the negative evil report of the world, New Dawn

view that the “rain falls on the just and the unjust” meaning we are not recession proof just because we are followers of Christ, as many of you reading may be feeling a heavy burden of financial stress. I am writing to encourage you that the bible also says in Psalm 37:25 “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.” Therefore, as we are in the world, we have by accepting Christ, removed ourselves from being of the world, and through this written message I would encourage us to recession proof our Faith through the renewing of our prayer lives. you to be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way of escape so that you can stand up under it.” For some this scripture gives the illusion that if we are facing hard times or struggles that God is not working on our behalf. Some things happen because we’re here on earth, our own flesh, the sin of our Fathers, including the first sin of Adam and Eve… which means that life is going to be hard. Look at Jesus' life! Non-stop suffering and humility…and we are to be like Christ? Why are we complaining about our burden? It is much lighter than Jesus’ was. And in the midst of our struggles He promised to send us comfort and guidance and a way of escape. 2 Corinthians 1:4-9

trouble, by the comfort where with we ourselves are comforted of God.5. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abound in us by Christ. 6. And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer : or whether we be comforted , it is for your consolation and salvation.7. And our hope of you is steadfast, knowing , that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.8. For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, in so much that we despaired even of life. 9. But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raised the dead.”

ELECT LADY
A Message from Women of Noble Character of Faith Alive Ministries Let the truth of the word of God abide in you richly; let God's love like a river always flow through you and let the peace of God that transcends human understanding guide you. The elect lady is one whose beauty is not just outer ap-
pearance - 'the styling of your hair, jewelries worn or the cut of your clothe, but your inner disposition' cultivate inner beauty; gentle and gracious kind that God delights in like the holy women of old, their ways made then beautiful before God. 1Peter3v2-4. Build yourself up at the place of prayer, ground yourself in the word, broaden your mind through meditation and your
life will never be the same. MARANATHA! T HE WORD “ MARANATHA ” IS A PHRASE ( FROM A S YRIAC DIALECT OF THE A RAMAIC ) THAT , ACCORDING TO PRESENT CONSENSUS , MEANS : “ OUR L ORD COMES .”

Pastor Godwin Bartholomew INTRODUCTION The idea of Jesus calling his disciples to Himself for a special purpose is evidenced in the initial call. He summoned His disciples saying, come follow me, and I will make you fishers of men (Matthew 4: 19, Mark 1: 17). This initial comment about reaching men was reasserted as a command when the resurrected Lord stood before his disciples (Matthew 28: 18 – 20) THE MANDATE OF A DISCIPLE Preaching: Repentance from dead works (Luke 24: 47 48, Act 2: 19, Romans 13: 12) Salvation and forgiveness of sins through Jesus Christ (Act 10: 42 – 43, Act 2: 38) Consistency in the faith (Hebrew 3: 12 – 14, 1 Timothy 4: 16, 1 John 2: 23 – 25) Soul Winning: (Mark 16v15-17, Matt 28v19-20, Act 1v8) Teaching: The Lordship of Jesus Christ (Colossians 1: 16, Ephesians 3: 9 12, Hebrew 1: 2 – 3, John 1: 3 – 5) Redemption and forgiveness of sins through the name of Jesus (Acts 26: 18, Colossians 1: 11 14, Romans 6: 7, 12, 14, 18) The coming of Christ for the saints (Acts 1: 11, 1Corinthians15: 51 – 58) The environment of the Holy Spirit: The promise of the Lord (John 14: 16 – 18, John 15: 16, John 16: 7 – 14) Standing all trials and temptation for the sake of the kingdom of God (James 1: 12, James 5: 10 – 11, 1Pet 1: 6 – 7, 1Pet 4: 12 – 15) Total obedience to the word of God Righteousness and holiness God uncompromising demand (1 Timothy 6: 11 – 14, 1 John 2: 28 – 29, Romans 6: 19 – 22, Acts 3: 2 To make disciples of other people (Matthew 28: 19) Baptise: Immerse in water (Colossians 2: 12 – 13, Romans 6: 1 – 8) Baptise in the name the father, son and of the holy spirit (Matthew 28: 19) Baptise on the name of Jesus (By the authority on Jesus name) Acts 8: 12 – 17, Acts 10: 44 – 48, Acts 2: 38) Only repented and converted souls (Act 2: 38) It is to fulfil all righteousness (Matthew 3: 15) It is for clear conscience (Romans 6: 3 – 10, Galatians 3: 26 – 29, Galatians 4: 7, 1Peter 3: 21) Conclusion: Disciples need to be positioned and unshakeable in Christ, in total submissions to Him, unwavering and maintaining an attitude of repentance, with a willingness to be continually taught of God’s word, they are to spread the word of God and tell of the birth, death, resurrection, ascension, glorification and the coming of Jesus the Christ.

A BOUT U S Faith Alive Ministries was founded on September 15th, 2008 upon the divine mandate “Blow the trumpet in Zion” (Joel 2:15); ”Prepare to meet thy God” (Amos 4:12). Faith Alive is a family church, and is blessed with dynamic ministers who hold the truth with all integrity. We believe Jesus is Lord and everybody is somebody. The purpose of our church is to glorify God and manifest His character
to our community and the rest of the world. The sole basis of our beliefs is in the Bible, God’s infallible written Word. We believe that it was uniquely, verbally and fully inspired by the Holy Spirit, and that it was written without error in the original manuscripts. It is the supreme and final authority in all matters on which it speaks. Please feel free to contact us for prayer request!
