Harvest Royal Sale December 6, 2014 Elkhorn, WI A near perfect day weather wise led to a large and active crowd for the 32nd edition in this sale series. 35 buyers from 12 states selected 65 head for an average price of $3707. Making that figure even more impressive is the fact 4 head brought more than $5000 with the top price at $7200! Lot 27 Double W Iona was the high seller at that $7200 price. She was 1 st 4y at the Southwest National 2014 for the consignors Double W Dairy, CO. Iris Brook Farm, NY will be adding her to their growing Brown Swiss herd. Lot 26 also from Double W Dairy was next high at $6000. Double W Delight E90 2nd place 5y and part of the Premier Breeder Banner at the Southwest National, sold due in April to Mr. Doug Nolan, IL. Lot 4 Pull Tab Legacy Taffy ET E90 with 31,590m was next at $5800. Emily Franke, WI consigned the powerful Legacy carrying an ultra sound Fe. Laurie Beggs, NY was the buyer. The last cow in the ring hit the $5400 mark for Lot 64 Double W Faust Jill. She will be making Swiss Miss Farm, WI home. The Senn Family were the top volume buyers adding 13 head to their fine herd in Fox Lake. The top selling heifer was the bred heifer Lot 51 Browns Vegas Viva at $4900. She had sold in the 2013 Springtime Show Window Sale to the consignor, Jr. Member Matthew Appler, IA.
