Considering we started trading on a Friday the 13th, Atech Ltd’s success doesn’t rely on luck – it lies in providing excellent service combined with quality products, a team of knowledgeable specialists and competitive pricing. Atech started from humble beginings in August 1982 from a tiny back office in Soho and has grown dramatically since its inception. ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY MEDIA Environmentally-Friendly media for solvent and eco solvent inks. Atech is fully supportive of the world-wide campaign to use more planet friendly produce. We are pleased to welcome the introduction of Dicksons EVERGREEN range of environmentally friendly medias. These products are free from PVC, Pthalates*, Phosphates*, Formaldehyde*, Glycol-ether* (*volatile carcinogenic and reprotoxic fabrics used in many conventional medias) VOC - Evergreen medias do not create any VOC during production. Therefore they help reduce the greenhouse effect. Energy - Evergreen materials use 80% less electricity during production than tranditional PVC banner medias. Packaging - Evergreen is packed simply in recycled cardboard. Transport - Thanks to their lighter weight, Evergreen products need less fuel to transport. Destruction - Evergreen products can be destroyed close to where they were used. By treating the product regionally, you limit the use of further transport. Decomposition - Evergreen decomposition in landfill creates only half the leachate polution of normal PVC media Less Acid Rain - Evergreen products contribute 6 times less to creating acid rain than a standard pvc banner. Acid rain reduces the ph of rivers, lakes and soil. Fewer greenhouse gases - During combustion, Evergreen products release 3 times less greenhouse effect gases. - 77% less Carbon Monoxide in the air compared to traditional pvc banner.

JET 220

At 200 gsm , jet 220 offers the stability and strength normally associated with heavier media. Suitable for all solvent and eco solvent inks, Jet 220 can be used for Banners, Signage, Displays and scrolling systems, Fire rated to M1 / B1 / Cl1 / BS / MEA / NFPA701

JET 210

At 260gsm, Jet 210 offers a strong, stable alternative to conventional products. White on the printside, it is suitable for all solvent and eco solvent inks. This media has the benefit of a BLACK BACK which makes it ideal for applications where shadow show can be a problem. Fire Rated to M1

Installation Instructions for High Performance Strippable Digital Wallcoverings: Surface Preparation 1. All hanging surfaces must be clean, smooth, dry, undamaged, free of mold, mildew, grease or stains and structurally intact. All loose paint and other wallcoverings should be removed. If moisture is present, immediatley identify and eliminate the source(s) of the moisture and verify that all wall surfaces are completely dry before proceeding. 2. Any mold or mildew MUST be removed from walls and hanging surfaces prior to installation. Walls should not contain in excess of 4% residual moisture content. A moisture meter should be used to determine moisture content. Moisture infiltration and accumulation can lead to mold or mildew growth and must be corrected prior to the installation of the wallcovering. If you are unsure if moisture problems are present consult a qualified professional before proceeding. This product is intended for use inbuildings that are properly designed and maintained to avoid moisture filtration, condensation and or accumulation at wall cavities and surfaces, particularly in warm, humid climates. Walls should also be treated with bleach, Lysol and/or other approved mildewinhibiting products in order to prevent further mildew prowth. The manufacturer will not be responsible for any performance and/or quality issues if moisture problems are not addressed before installation, and/or if the building is not properly maintained to prevent moisture infiltration following installation. 3. Proper surface preparation is key to getting results. To prepare the surface properly we recomend that you prime all surfaces with a universal, white-pigmented, mold-inhibiting wallcovering primer. 4. For new drywall construction, a coat of wallcovering primer should be applied to the surface before application of wallcovering. Use a primer that dries to a solid colour to conceal drywall joints. 5. Use only a lead pencil for marking walls and backs of wallcoverings. Do not use ballpoint or marking pen as they will bleed through the surface. 6. Do not install wallcovering unless a temperature above 65 degrees Farenheit is maintained in bothareas of installation and storage for at least 48 hours prior to installation. Adhesive Application: Hang wallcovering with a premium quality, heavy-duty clear pre-mixed adhesive. Use of mildew inhibitor in the adhesive is recommended as above instructions. Do not dilute adhesive. Brush an even coat of paste over entire back of wallcovering. Pay particular attention to run over edges so they are sure to be pasted. Book material for ten minutes.

The heat reactivated lowtemperature adhesive (95ºC) makes Jet Guard Deep Crystal an ideal product for use in the manufacture of “pop-up” display systems, particularly when combined with Stoplight.

ATECH HANDI MANUAL LAMINATING TOOLS The Atech Handi Manual Laminating line of tools are a great addition to any sign or print shop, even with a powered laminator. They are not intended to replace a laminator, but they do make it easier to laminate small graphics and can reduce waste by not having to change the roll on a laminator just to do an odd job. All of our tools will laminate and mount pressure sensitive vinyl. The different sizes and types of tools make it possible to choose the right tool for the job. Sign makers and graphic houses will benefit by having a variety of tools to work with. The fabric on all of the tools are easy to replace when they get soiled, cut or worn out. There are five styles and many sizes to fit the needs of most sign shops.

The HANDI Rivet Tool These tools are for use on small signs that don’t require the graphic to be rolled up to make them easy to handle.The Atech Rivet Tool has a padded edge with felt for going over obstacles such as rivets. Their lightweight and slim design make them easy to work with on small signs. The slim felt edge will apply application tape and vinyls.

The HANDI Small Sign Tool These tools are for use on small signs that don’t require the graphic to be rolled up to make them easy to handle. The Atech Small Sign Tool has a cotton covered edge for laminating. Their light weight and slim design make them easy to work with on small signs. The slim felt edge will apply application tape and vinyls.

The HANDI Laminator Tool The laminator tool has a roll holder for holding rolled up materials to make them easier to handle. This tool is used for graphics that are otherwise to long to handle unless they are rolled up.

The HANDI Cut Vinyl Tool The Cut Vinyl Tool looks very much like the laminator tool with the addition of black felt covering on both edges. Designed to work primarily with cut vinyl, it will apply transfer tape both by pushing the roll ahead of the tool or by placing the roll in the roll holder and applied off the back of the tool.

The Laminator Tool comes in sizes from 26” to 64”. It is primarily used for working with prints. It will mount cut vinyl but is lacking in the application of masking tape, It can be done but the other tools are better designed for applying transfer tape.

The HANDI Cradle Tool The Cradle tool is the latest addition to the Atech Handi range of laminating tools. It is lightweight and is pushed without the need to pick it up. It does very well with application tape and is available in all the sizes of the other tools.

This is the “jack of all trades” tool because it does it all. It comes in two sizes and is limited to 30” width of application.

The ISO system is based on three series:A sizes

for general printing and stationery. A4 is usually used for business stationery, brochures, booklets etc. A5 is commonly used for smaller items such as leaflets/ flyers etc. A6 is the international postcard size. A7 for labels etc. A8 for business cards

B sizes

for posters and some larger envelopes

C sizes

for general envelopes or folders to contain A sizes.

The full sheet in each series is designated by the number 0. The longer length is then halved to give 1, and halved again to give 2 and halved again to give 3 etc. So, A4 is half of A3, A5 is half of A4 etc. The A series is based on A0. The size, 841 x 1189, is one square metre in area. The weight of the paper is also based on the weight of one square metre in grammes, i.e. ‘gsm’. RA sizes

are slightly larger than A sizes, allowing the printer extra space on a sheet for grip and trim.

SRA sizes

are slightly larger than RA sizes, and allow for printed work which includes a ‘bleed’.

When expressing the measurements, care should be taken as traditionally the upright measure was given first and the horizontal measurement second. The British Standards Institute recommends giving the shorter measurement first and following the measurement with the letter L on a landscape format. A4 landscape would then be: 210 x 297 L mm.
