SENIOR LIVING SPECIALISTS PHILADELPHIA
At SENIOR LIVING SPECIALISTS the goal is simple: aiding seniors and their loved ones through the process of finding a senior living community and their perfect home for the next chapter of life.
Senior Living Specialists is a one-stop shop, providing COMPLIMENTARY, personalized senior community placement services in independent living, assisted care, memory care, group homes, and personal care. They offer resources to make this a smooth and seamless transition for your family, including: home companion care companies, home health companies, downsizing companies, senior move managers, elder law attorneys, Veteran’s Benefits, and more.
Each specialist spends time curating a portfolio of senior living communities through touring, meeting Executive Directors, and learning the ins and outs of each community. By immersing themselves in the communities, they are better able and equipped to find each senior the best fit for their individual needs. They connect with families at a very vulnerable time, strive to make the best decisions with them, and help provide seniors with the best quality of life.
Compassion and real-life experience are what sets them apart. The founder, Lorri Bernstein’s, former experience as a social worker informs her caring and supportive approach as she helps you navigate this process.
Everyone ages. It’s a part of life. Our later years can be especially challenging, but Senior Living Specialists (SLS) is here to help you on what can be an emotionally distressing, overwhelming journey. Their services alleviate the anxiety of determining the right option for your loved one.

AMERICAN HERITAGE CREDIT UNION AWARDS 30 HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR MEMBERS WITH ANNUAL CECILIA B. GRADY SCHOLARSHIP FOR THE 2023 PROGRAM
American Heritage Credit Union
(American Heritage) awarded 30 high school senior members with a $1,000 scholarship to ease the financial burden of higher education expenses. American Heritage Credit Union’s Scholarship Committee selected the 2023 scholarship recipients based on their scholarly merits, community and school involvement, a letter of recommendation, credit union eligibility, and a submitted essay describing a time applicants faced a challenge or setback and how they were able to learn from the experience.
This year, American Heritage invited the scholarship recipients to its Scholarship Banquet at American Heritage’s Main Campus to celebrate these deserving students and their achievements.
The Scholarship Program honors American Heritage’s Chairperson Emerita, Cecilia B.
Grady, who served on American Heritage’s Board of Directors for over 40 years. American Heritage’s annual scholarship program represents her dedication to financial literacy, education, and community outreach.
“We’re proud to offer our scholarship program to our members to help alleviate some of the financial burden that higher education creates,” states Bruce K. Foulke, American Heritage’s President & CEO. “Our future community leaders are coming out of school with more debt and expenses than any generation before them. The scholarship these students receive from our program can be used however they see fit to support their educational goals and career aspirations. Congratulations to this year’s recipients of the Cecilia B. Grady Scholarship Program and we wish you luck in your future endeavors!”
