twelve wow scholarship awardees for 2021 HŪLŌ, HŪLŌ, HŪLŌ !! The 𝑾𝑾𝑾𝑾𝑾𝑾𝑾𝑾𝑾𝑾 𝒐𝒐𝒐𝒐 𝑾𝑾𝑾𝑾𝑾𝑾’𝒂𝒂𝒂𝒂𝒂𝒂𝒂𝒂 announced 12 students who were happily presented their indivivual scholarship awards on April 17, 2021. The awardees were selected in recogni�on of their grade point achievements in spite of personal and family challenges, and the likelihood that they will achieve their college degrees.

The 𝑾𝑾𝑾𝑾𝑾𝑾𝑾𝑾𝑾𝑾 𝒐𝒐𝒐𝒐 𝑾𝑾𝑾𝑾𝑾𝑾’𝒂𝒂𝒂𝒂𝒂𝒂𝒂𝒂 believes that the pursuit of a higher educa�on, will benefit their children/families and the Wai’anae community. This year again, due to the COVID19 pandemic, the presenta�on ceremony was a quiet, masked and socially distant event. Nevertheless the winners were honored and celebrated, and were able to share brief personal stories which inspired everyone! The 𝑾𝑾𝑾𝑾𝑾𝑾𝑾𝑾𝑾𝑾 𝒐𝒐𝒐𝒐 𝑾𝑾𝑾𝑾𝑾𝑾’𝒂𝒂𝒂𝒂𝒂𝒂𝒂𝒂 sends a hear�elt MAHALO NUI !! to our customers, donors, grantors and especially to our heroic WOW members, for helping us achieve our mission each year! Provides judges greater discre�on to adjust past due fines or financial circumstances by a person who violates certain traffic offenses based on hardships and their inability to pay.

Dura�onal Residency (Divorce) SB 828 HD1 to GOV

Eliminate residency requirements to ini�ate & complete a divorce in Hawaii. This is helpful in domes�c violence vic�ms, or military service members, or others seeking jus�ce.

~ Education ~

$6 million for heat abatement at Waiʻanae Public Library (and other libraries statewide). $1.4 million for improvements at Māʻili Elementary School - heat abatement, parking lot improvements, hazardous materials remediation & other ground & site improvements. $1.0 million for improvements Nānāikapono Elementary School – extending the school cafe and restroom renovations. $237,000 for Nānākuli Elementary School improvements - repair/renovation of restrooms, electrical upgrades, ventilation improvements, hazardous materials and remediation.
