SHIIP Volunteer Counselor Spotlight

Everett Randall was born and raised in Mississippi where he earned his bachelor’s degree and an MBA in risk management and insurance from Georgia State University. Everett worked briefly in Atlanta before relocating to Pennsylvania where he took a position with an insurance education firm. He helped develop content and oversee examinations for people earning insurance designations. Everett retired from that company after more than 40 years. After retirement, Everett met with a SHIIP counselor (known as Apprise in Pennsylvania) for Medicare advice. He found the person so helpful that when he moved to North Carolina, he decided to become a SHIIP Volunteer Counselor. He joined the BSRI SHIIP team in 2019.

Everett enjoys learning new things and helping others, so the SHIIP volunteer counseling role was a perfect fit. We’re happy to have Everett as part of our team!
