Maybe it’s because I know that healing is found in damp chest hair and acne scars and your hair, splattering my dress

This is what it’s like to miss someone I’m with, to ache for warmth

beautiful, you say, and I agree, there’s something beautiful about you, your naked toes on the tile, and me, my parted lips like an open wound
