Bryan entities provided charity care to 13,118 patients in Fiscal Year 2019. Charity care is free or discounted health services provided to patients who cannot afford to pay and who meet all the criteria for financial assistance. Charity care does not include bad debt.

Health professionals education
Cost of providing accredited training and education programs for physicians, nurses and other health professionals through residency education and continuing medical education, plus financial support of the cost of the Bryan College of Health Sciences.
Other community programs and subsidized services
Activities and programs carried out to improve community health and wellness, and health care services that are subsidized because they meet an identified need in the community.
Cash and in-kind contributions
Cash and in-kind donations to other nonprofit organizations for charitable purposes.
