Diffusion Bryoney Cartlidge // Press Pack
- Diffusion the scattering of light through translucent materials An exploration into the way that light interacts a mixture of materials. This collection on work focuses on knit stitches and different techniques and layering of papers to create beautiful illuminated interior pieces. Bringing together a body of research, drawings, laser cut and knit techniques Diffusion discovers the highlights and shadows created as light shines through different translucent materials. Knitted silks of different weights have been knitted and mixed with other materials such as felting wool and roving to create pieces that have beauty both with and without light. This is echoed with the paper work as different laser cut papers have been overlaid to create an intriguing piece where its secrets are reviled once lit.
