the creation of the idol chair is based around the idea of a childhood fort - a space that is personal, private from parents, and comfortable. the chair has been designed to let the user “hide out and take refuge” within the space. The chair is the ideal place to lounge because it is surrounded by everything you need such as light, books, personal items, and even pets.

the creation of the outdoor pavilion was based around the idea of being transparent to the world along with the themes:transmission, exploration, senses, and materials. the structure is meant to allow users to Inhabit the space to sit, lean, and stretch in the context of workshops, conferences, etc. the space was designed to be able to take apart and transported to another location.

the children’s museum of la crosse features a playful climbing sculpture that can be used by children. the sculptural piece is described as having “vibrant peering eyes speckled, spotted, striped and scaled looking up and down” the materials used in this project are bent plywood, molded plastic, and steel pipes.luckey llc is a bespoke design-build firm who are popular for their sculptures known as luckey climbers. the structures help to define public spaces and create emblematic play areas. the users of the space find a place to be adventurous, think spatially, and learn to problem solve. the sculpture also allows children to be “kids with other kids”.
