GRADE 5 ABRSM MUSIC THEORY

This year has been quite challenging for the 5 students who completed the Grade 5 online exam in June. Because of the different year groups involved, most of the learning and teaching took place via Zoom over the course of the year. The major change in the structure of the paper is that the exam is online using the RPNow software and the writing of the exam is also videoed. Students can do the exam from the comfort of their own home, but the students and parents decided that it would be easier and more convenient to sit the exam at school. A special word of thanks goes to George Mathews and the school’s IT department for setting up a computer with a camera and software for the students to sit this exam.

Well done to Vinuth Ratnayake, Raphael Duthie, Mathew Lomax, Advay Gupta and Savanna Stewart for being the pioneers in the new method of writing the exam. The results are not available yet, so we are holding thumbs, or crossing fingers for a good result.
