Spring Festival
Sunday 18 October 2015 10am-4pm Whitehorse Civic Centre, Nunawading
SPRING IS COMING, LET'S GET READY TO CELEBRATE! Celebrate the return of warmer weather at Whitehorse City Council’s ever popular Spring Festival on Sunday 18 October 2015. Spring Festival is a free, fun-filled day that celebrates our vibrant community! Offering a perfect day out for all the family, explore the imaginative world of storytelling through children's books, the theme for this year's Spring Festival. Kids (and kids at heart) are encouraged to dress up as their favourite book character on the day as they experience a wonderful world of fun. Come and enjoy a huge variety free rides, performances, workshops and activity sessions – have your face painted, see and participate in amazing circus shows and workshops, play with the giant garden games and see the best local bands, singers and artists across five stages. Guests can also expect plenty of great food, delicious coffee and sweet treats, and there will be ample seating and grassed areas to kick back, relax and enjoy the festivities. Most importantly, Spring Festival provides a great opportunity to get to know your local neighbourhood with the event showcasing displays by an abundance of local hobby clubs, interest groups and service providers, so come along and learn more about the activities offered just around the corner. Parking is always limited around the event site, so public transport is recommended as the best way to travel to the event. It is best to leave the family pet at home for the Spring Festival. Further information on the event, festival maps, stage programs and much more will be available soon. No matter when you plan on checking out, you MUST leave your room/studio apartment in a clean and tidy state. For those at BSV and the MB Shared Apartments, your RLs have created cleaning rosters for check-out. You will not only be responsible for cleaning your bedroom, but communal areas as well. Everyone in BSV and MB Shared Apartments will be assigned a specific cleaning task, so please see your RL as soon as possible for details on cleaning expectations. If your room is left dirty or if you do not contribute to the cleaning of common areas, charges will apply and an encumbrance will be placed on your Deakin account. You will not be able to access your results or re-enrol until the charges are paid. ALSO‌. If you are checking out at the end of trimester 2, you must finalise your account prior to leaving. Check out on November 2nd is NO LATER THAN 10AM. Failure to do so could result in additional costs.
