When you get harmed by someone who’s not close to you, you find yourself able to understand why they did it and learn how to be cautious. But when who’s harming you isn’t just close to you, in fact they’re living with you in the same house, a husband, a father or a brother, the hurt then is bitter. As humans, we can’t live alone, and we spend so much of our lives looking for someone to share this life with and seeking support from our beloved ones. Our relationships are meant to be a safe space, but when this safe space turns out to be more like a battlefield, so many meanings get lost in this process, eventually ourselves.
