Invited Project: Guosen Tower - location: Shenzhen, China, 90.000 sqm - high-rising office building - my role: -follow the communication with Arup HK(structure and mechanical engineering), mock up makers, interior design department, SWADI(Shenzhen LDI), Shenzhen office project manager -organize the routine conference call among all parts - daily email report to Mr Fuksas and weekly meeting with him for the ongoing of the project -coordinate the design team for integrating Mr Fuksas’s design advice and the communication achievements of all parts into the façade solution and the design of roof garden.

D.ARCHITECTURAL ELEMENTS 建筑元素 D.1 THE MAIN FACADE
正面
- The superior roof 豪华屋顶 This element is very important by a dimensional point of view. It is mainly a stone cladding that partially covers the top of the roof and overhangs by six meters the facade line. The main function is: to hide all sort of equipment on the roof, to provide shelter to the curtains top joints to house downlighter projectors Metal structure: It is foreseen a completely new structure to be coupled to the existing one through the pillars. The coupled pillars are founded to the ground, while the outer line is cantilevered. The structure is composed of normalised metal elements, in three different hierarchical layers, the last of which is supporting the cladding panels.

Cladding elements: are closed joint marble or stone tiles in large sizes. 这一构件从三维角度来看是非常重要的。其主要是一种石材幕 墙，其部分覆盖了屋顶顶部并向门面线外出挑6米。其主要功 能为： 隐藏屋顶上的所有设备； 为帷幕顶部接头提供掩蔽处； 容纳下照射式投影机。 金属结构： 可以预见，一个全新的结构通过支柱与现有的结构统一起 来。成对的支柱矗立在地基之上，而外轮廓线则向外探出。 该结构由标准化的金属构件所组成，分别位于三个不同的分 层，而其中一层则支撑着外墙板。 包层构件： 为大尺寸的大理石或石材瓷砖所密闭。
- Blind marble facade - 盲人大理石立面 This is the cubical element at the corner between the mall body and the tower base. The surface is sculptured on the two sides, providing giant three dimensional letters signifying the mall name readable form distance and showing the names of the brands presented in the shopping area. It is similarly treated as the superior roof about either cladding system and structural system. 这是介于商场主体与塔基之间角落的立方体构件。表面的两边 均予以雕刻，以提供巨大的三维字母以使得商场的名字即使在 远距离亦可被读取，以及显示出现在购物区的品牌名称。 这一项在包层系统和结构系统方面均与豪华屋顶作类似处理。
