Bison Good Sports

In 2006, the Bucknell Department of Athletics and Recreation announced its new “Bison Good Sports!” campaign, a sportsmanship awareness program designed to promote appropriate fan conduct at all Bison sporting events. The objective of the campaign, according to Bucknell director of athletics and recreation John Hardt “is to thank fans for the tremendous energy and enthusiasm they bring to each Bucknell athletics contest while also empowering them as caretakers of the collegiate gameday experience. While the extremes of unwanted behavior and its impact on home and visiting fans are not commonplace at Bison athletics events, Bucknell and our visiting teams ask for our fans’ help in keeping their support of our teams positive and cheer with positive encouragement, rather than supporting an atmosphere of intimidation that attempts to degrade opposing players and teams. We hope that our fans will continue to join our players, coaches and staff in helping all spectators find creative and ingenious ways to positively support our Bucknell student-athletes.”

Patriot League/Mission Statement Now in its third decade as an all-sport conference combining academic and athletic excellence, the Patriot League sponsors championships in 24 men and women’s sports. Initially started as an NCAA Division I-AA football conference in 1986, the Patriot League became an all-sport conference in 1990 and includes American, Army, Boston University, Bucknell, Colgate, Holy Cross, Lafayette, Lehigh, Loyola (Md.) and Navy as full members, and Fordham, Georgetown and MIT as associate members. Boston University and Loyola University Maryland join the Patriot League beginning with the 2013-14 season. These institutions are among the oldest and most prestigious in the nation and their alumni have and continue to play leadership roles in shaping our country. Since 1998, the Patriot League has ranked first each year among all Division I conferences awarding athletic aid in the NCAA Graduation Rate Report. The League also had 80 percent of its teams posting an APR score of 985 or higher in the most recent data, and 71 Patriot League teams earned NCAA Academic Performance Program Public Recognition Awards after posting academic progress rate scores in the top 10 percent of all squads in their respective sports. The Patriot League’s mission is simple: to provide successful competitive athletic experiences while maintaining high academic standards, and to prepare its student-athletes to be leaders in society. During the 2012-13 academic year, Patriot League student-athletes and teams have accomplished the following: *The Patriot League ranked second among all conferences in multiyear APR rating, and led all leagues in men’s basketball and baseball APR. *71 Patriot League teams, and 74 from full-member institutions, received NCAA Public Recognition Awards for finishing in the top 10 percent of their sport in APR data. *86 Patriot League teams, and 96 overall from full League members, recorded perfect graduation success rates. *All eight Patriot League schools scored above 85 percent in graduation success rates. *Bucknell won the Patriot League Presidents’ Cup by 0.5 points over Navy in the closest-ever finish for the title. Bucknell takes great pride in its commitment to excellence on and off the playing fields. From Presidents’ Cups to Academic All-Americans to graduation rates that are ranked annually in the national top-10, Bucknell is clearly at the head of the class when it comes to upholding the scholar-athlete ideal. •

According to federal data released by the NCAA each fall, Bucknell’s student-athlete graduation rate annually ranks in the top 10 among all Division I institutions. Bucknell has led the nation in graduation rates twice, and in the most recent survey in the fall of 2012, Bucknell ranked No. 2 in the nation.

Bucknell has claimed a league-high 131 Patriot League Scholar-Athletes of the Year since the league’s inception as an all-sports conference in 1990-91.

A total of 399 Bison appeared on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll in 2012-13 after recording a GPA of 3.2 or better during their sport’s competition season. Among all BU student-athletes, 509 made the Dean’s List with GPAs of 3.5 or better during 2012-13.

In addition to the 124 Capital One Academic All-Americans produced since 1970, Bucknell has also claimed 338 Academic All-District honorees over the same span, including nine in 2012-13.

Bucknell has earned 95 Patriot League championships in 23 years in the league. In addition, Bucknell has had 120 conference players of the year, 103 PL coaches of the year and a whopping 570 individual league champions from sports such as cross country, track & field, swimming & diving, tennis and golf.

One of the finest collegiate athletics facilities of its kind, the center includes the 4,000-seat Sojka Pavilion, the Olympic class Kinney Natatorium, the Krebs Family Fitness Center and the Berger Family Weight Room. BUCKNELL BISON ATHLETICS

A NATIONAL MODEL IN PROMOTING THE SCHOLAR-ATHLETE IDEAL Bucknell Athletics is first and foremost a student-centered organization, one that strives to be a national leader when it comes to operating by a true scholar-athlete model. At Bucknell, student-athletes’ academic programs are their first priority, and providing a competitive Division I athletics program only advances the mission, values and residential learning goals of the university. To that end, the Department of Athletics and Recreation proactively seeks ways to assist student-athletes in their daily academic pursuits. Below are just some of the student-athlete support programs currently in place. FACULTY ATHLETICS REPRESENTATIVE: The faculty athletics representative (FAR) is a member of the faculty or administrative staff who is designated to represent Bucknell in its relationships with the NCAA and the Patriot League. Bucknell’s FAR is Mitch Chernin, Professor of Biology. The FAR can enhance the student-athlete experience by promoting a balance between academics, athletics and the social lives of student-athletes, which affords them opportunities to enjoy the full range of collegiate experiences available to students generally. SIDELINE COACH PROGRAM: This program is a truly unique initiative in Division I college athletics, and it involves the invitation of a member of the faculty, administration, staff or community by one of Bucknell’s 27 varsity teams. The participant has the opportunity to discuss the overall program with the respective coaching staff, including practice preparation and strategy for the upcoming contest. The sideline coach attends a practice session and an actual intercollegiate competition, where he/she is introduced to the team and gains rarely seen insight into the relationships that exist between player-coach and player-player. The purpose of the Sideline Coaches Program is to foster a better understanding by the faculty and administration of the roles played by coaches and athletes in the university’s competitive intercollegiate athletic arena. ACADEMIC ENHANCEMENT CENTER: In the Fall of 2005, the Department of Athletics opened a study/computer lab for student-athletes on the concourse level of Sojka Pavilion. The center is outfitted with computers, a laser printer, four television monitors and a projection unit with computer, VCR and DVD player. Additionally, the study lab can be used as a meeting place for group projects, tutorial area or just a secluded and quiet study space before or after practice. LAPTOP PROGRAM: The Department of Athletics owns a number of laptop computers that may be signed out by student-athletes for use on away trips. STUDENT-ATHLETE ADVISORY COMMITTEE (SAAC): Representatives from each varsity team comprise the SAAC, which is designed to enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity, protecting student-athlete welfare, and fostering a positive student-athlete image. The Committee is an invaluable resource for promoting communication between athletics administration and student-athletes; promoting communication between athletics and campus-wide administration; providing feedback and insight, as well as soliciting responses into department issues and proposed NCAA legislation; building a sense of community within the athletics program involving all athletics teams; organizing community service projects and efforts; creating a vehicle for student-athlete representation on campus-wide committees; serving as a collective voice of campus student-athletes; and disseminating information to the student-athlete body. BUCKNELL BISON LEADERSHIP ACADEMY: In 2011-12, the Department of Athletics launched the Bucknell Bison Leadership Academy. As part of a Patriot League-wide leadership initiative, this program is designed to help student-athletes learn how to be effective leaders on and off the playing fields. The Leadership Academy features programming and instruction that bridge theory, development and real experiences in an interactive learning environment. Through this endeavor, team leaders can enhance their impact on their teammates’ and their program’s performance immediately and for years to come.

Season Preview Bucknell field hockey fans will get a taste of the familiar and see some new sights in 2013. Gone is the Bison’s leading scorer Tayler Siegrist, but returning are nine of 11 starters and a senior group with nearly 200 games worth of experience. With veteran leadership and some additional speed, Bucknell is looking to compete with the best the Patriot League and the country have to offer. “This is the hardest schedule we’ve ever had,” said Jeremy Cook, who enters his sixth season as Bucknell’s head coach in 2013. “I know I say that every year, but every year we build the schedule just a little bit.” Part of the stronger schedule is new Patriot League member Boston University. The Terriers have consistently been a top-20 team nationally and are expected to immediately shuffle the league standings. Finishing at 18th in the 2012 season-ending National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) poll, Boston is one of six Bucknell opponents to be included in last year’s final ranking. That list of ranked opponents also includes Penn State, Iowa, Drexel, New Hampshire and Lafayette. “Adding BU is a big ramp up and picking up a team like the University of New Hampshire while we’re up there is another huge bump up,” said Cook. “We’re opening with Iowa and finishing here with Rutgers. We really bumped up this schedule and it’s because I believe in the team.” A large reason for Cook’s belief is the experience and leadership of his seniors – Erica Perrine, Vickie Resh, Rachel Misko, Leigh Hillman and Cassie Goggin. Add to that quintet a six-person junior class that includes unanimous First Team All-Patriot League selection Kelsey Mucelli, five sophomores and eight rookies, and the Bison have some of their greatest depth and options in recent years. With 24 on the roster, the Bison coaching staff expects to be able to absorb some of the injuries that forced players into less familiar positions last year. Perrine, Resh and Misko make up three of Bucknell’s most decorated players on the roster. Perrine and Resh both earned their second consecutive nods to the All-Patriot League Second Team last fall, while Misko earned her third All-League citation in as many years. Perrine was also named Bucknell’s 2013 captain during the offseason, a role Cook is confident having her in due to her strong character and ability to organize her defense. Her more tangible skills on the field are no less impressive. “She’s a fantastic saving goalkeeper and has gotten better and better with her communication as well,” praised Cook. “I’m looking forward to her having a really good year. She makes ridiculous saves seem easy in practice and has had some games in the past, especially when we were overwhelmed, where she just stood on her head and did a phenomenal job of keeping us in the game.” Like Perrine, Resh has played an important role in Bucknell’s defense and Cook anticipates her impacts being even bigger this fall as she settles into a rhythm. The native of Hamburg, Pa., missed a portion of the nonconference schedule while playing with Team USA at the Junior Pan-American Games in Mexico. Upon her return, she then played out of her natural position due to injuries to her teammates. “Having her consistently in the midfield this year will be a big plus for us. She reads the game really well and she’s really threatening on the offensive end too,” said Cook. The Patriot League Rookie of the Year three years ago, Misko is looking to go out on another high note. Soon after receiving another Second Team All-League selection last fall, the forward added Patriot League AllTournament Team to her resume. She will return in 2013 tied with Amie Pritchard as the team’s leading returning scorers having totaled six goals and five assists for 17 total points. “Last year was great because we kind of figured out a role for her that worked,” Cook said of Misko. “You don’t want to play a cookie cutter system that plugs players into roles that are arbitrary. We’ve figured out a way to take advantage of her strengths and presence and leadership on the field. This system that we’re playing will really showcase that this year more than any other.” Rounding out the senior class are Hillman and Goggin who will be every bit as important to the Bison system as their cohorts. Hillman made huge strides last year when she totaled seven of her eight career goals, making her Bucknell’s second-highest goal scorer on the field in 2012. Goggin missed most of the season due to injury and spent her spring studying in Prague, but her return should yield some positive results for Bucknell. “She’s kind of a wild card,” Cook said of Goggin. “Whatever she’s able to do for us on the field will be a big positive. She’s very grounded and has a good big-picture approach to life that is great for the team.” One year younger but certainly no less impactful is Kelsey Mucelli, who will be joined on this year’s team by younger sister, Amy. Kelsey was selected as the team’s MVP last fall. Among her other highlights were earning nods to the Patriot League’s First Team and All-Tournament Team, taking a share of the school record in single-game assists with three against Temple and tying for 10th on Bucknell’s single-season assists record list (9).

“She has great vision and her basic skill has improved dramatically since she arrived,” lauded Cook. “Her first touch and her passing skill have gotten better and better. She’s at the point now where I think it’s relatively seamless. She sees the field and can actually perform the skills that she needs to to do what she wants.” Mucelli was not the only Bison dishing out assists last year. She actually ranked second on the team to Maggie Murphy’s 10, which ties for fourth all-time at Bucknell. Murphy’s contributions last year came while alternating between striker and outside midfield, and her improvements in the recent months should be another boost for the Bison. “She made some really great strides this year in understanding how to play within herself and in hockey IQ,” said Cook. “She adds such a spark whenever she’s on the field. I think that with her improved fitness level, she’ll be able to spend more time on the field and give us more.” Liz Wills, who is also being joined by her rookie sister, Anna, this fall and Pritchard will also continue to be defensive forces for Bucknell. The elder Wills registered five defensive saves last year, giving her the fifthhighest single-season total in program history. She missed portions of the end of the campaign with a broken foot, but with her temperament, the misfortune has a silver lining that does not worry the Bison. “She’s worked really hard to make herself into a really dynamic player,” said Cook. “She doesn’t get rattled easily at all. She’s been able to keep her composure and has done a really good job distributing from the center back position. I think having her consistency and experience, maybe even from watching at the end of last year, are going to help.” “Aime Pritchard is so speedy and just so skillful that it adds an offensive punch even from a defensive position,” Cook continued. As proof of her goal-scoring punch, the midfielder Pritchard was named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 22 last fall. She finished the season with 17 points on five goals and seven assists. Filling in some key support roles last year were juniors Hope Obernesser and Cassie Lawrence. Obernesser missed the beginning of the season due to illness but still made herself a presence as the ultimate teammate and has since ramped up her fitness level. Lawrence also gained valuable experience in the spring and will continue to be a key source of speed Bucknell hopes to take advantage of throughout the season. Sophomores Abby Watson, Kayla Sullivan and Kiersten Sydnor combined for six Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors last year and Emily Hitchings should be one of the more interesting cogs in Bucknell’s system in 2013. Hitchings moved from forward to left defender in the spring and the change paid some early dividends. “It’s a pretty dramatic change in position and she knocked it out of the park,” Cook praised. “She’s an athletic, strong person and she was making good, very simple and effective decisions. Her mentality was perfect for it. She really went beyond our expectations this spring.” “Abby has worked very hard in the wieght room this past spring and that will no doubt have a huge impact on her game,” said Cook of his young forward. Shannon Keen wraps up the group of returning players. The backup goalkeeper saw limited game time in her rookie campaign, but her opportunities should expand as she continues to put pressure on Perrine for playing time. She also has the added benefit of a new full-time goalkeeper coach as the Bison added two new assistants in the offseason, including Erin Singleton in her second stint at Bucknell and Meghan Dawson, a former national champion at North Carolina. Also new on the scene are eight freshmen. Amy Mucelli is expected to be a good compliment to sister Kelsey and Resh playing in the midfield while Emma Fitzgerald will likely factor in on penalty corners and be a threat to defenses. Anna Wills and Emily Goodloe should be key contributors on the defensive end. “These are backfield players that are really good right now and will only get better,” predicted Cook. “Their possession skills are really strong, their distribution is very good and intuitive.” Sarah Ross, Estelle Palandjian, Kelsy Kauffman and Madison Molinari will also see additional playing time as they develop. Kauffman and Molinari in particular bring an immense amount of speed that should help create more opportunities for teammates.

Kelsey Mucelli 2012 First Team All-Patriot League

The term “student-athlete” signifies something extraordinary on the campus of Bucknell University. Coaching Staff

Jeremy Cook, a former member of the United States men’s national field hockey team, was named head field hockey coach at Bucknell in July 2008. Among his extensive international field hockey experience, Cook has served as a technical assistant with the U.S. men’s and women’s national teams. He assisted the men’s team at the Olympic qualifying tournament, and the 2008 Olympics-bound women’s squad at the Pan-American Games, the Champions Challenge, the Chile 4-Nation Tournament and the team’s Holland tour. He has also served as an assistant coach and administrative director at the Elite Performance Training Center in either the Pennsylvania/New Jersey or the Midwest Region each summer since 2005, and he has more than six years of experience coaching the U.S. Futures program in the Washington, D.C., area and at developmental camps across the country. During the summer of 2010, Cook served as the head coach of the Pennsylvania Junior Team at the USA Field Hockey High Performance Championships and led the squad to the title. Hired as an assistant coach at Indiana University in February 2007, Cook has also had assistant coaching stints at Penn (200506), Drexel (2000-01), American (1999) and Cornell (1997-98). Cook, who graduated summa cum laude from Drexel in 2002, enjoyed a stellar playing career. From 1997-2000 he was a member of Team USA. He competed in the 1999 Pan Am Games in Winnipeg and was a member of three gold medal-winning teams at the U.S. Olympic Festival. He also played on three Indoor Pan American Cup teams and on the 2003 Indoor World Cup team that competed in Leipzig, Germany. From 1995-97, Cook played on the first team with Hockey Club Rotterdam in The Netherlands. Cook lives in Lewisburg with his wife, Sandra and son, Ryan, born in 2012.

Championship titles in 2007 and 2009 as well as additional Final Four appearances in 2010 and 2011. As a junior she received AllNCAA Tournament honors as the team finished runner-up nationally, adding to a resume that also included two selections to the All-South Region team. Since leaving North Carolina, Dawson has played with the United States Field Hockey Developmental Squad and added to her coaching resume. While in Chapel Hill, she served as coach of the Carolina All-Star Field Hockey Club U16 team in 2012. She later returned to her high school alma mater, volunteering with Eastern Regional and helping the team to a Group IV State Championship. It was her fifth state title with the team as she also won four NJSIAA State Championships as a player before having her Eastern Regional jersey retired. In the last year, Dawson has split her time coaching the Spirit of USA Field Hockey Club in Berlin, N.J., and working with Harrow Sports as a sales consultant in Denver. Dawson is not the only member of her family to have success on the field hockey turf. One of eight siblings, Meghan’s sister Rachel was the 2007 National Player of the Year at North Carolina, and sisters Natalie and Sarah played at Iowa. All three have been members of the U.S. National Team during their careers. Her younger sister Melanie also played at North Carolina.

Erin Singleton, a three-time Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year at Holy Cross, joined the Bucknell staff in the summer of 2009 as a graduate assistant coach. She completed her master’s degree in psychology at Bucknell in 2011 and after one year away from Lewisburg, has returned to the Bison sidelines. During her previous turn with Bucknell, Singleton worked with the team’s goalkeepers. She will return to that role for the 2013 campaign after serving as a program support technician in Virginia Tech’s Mechanical Engineering Department in 2012. In her final season as a player with the Crusaders, Singleton recorded a 7-11 record in goal with a 3.12 goals against average and a .773 save percentage, which ranked 12th nationally. Her 8.5 saves per game also ranked third in the country. Singleton led the Patriot League in shutouts and goals against average as a sophomore before leading the league in saves, saves per game and save percentage as a senior. During her career, the Amesbury, Mass., native earned three First Team All-Patriot League selections. Her trio of Goalkeeper of the Year honors marked the first time a student-athlete had claimed the league’s award more than once. Away from the field, Singleton was named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and the NFHCA National Academic Squad. She completed her degree in psychology from Holy Cross in 2009.

Maggie Murphy

History Academic Honors As it has become accustomed to, the Bucknell field hockey team garnered a number of academic honors in 2012. The Bison were recognized by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) for posting a team grade-point average of better than 3.0 and nine team members earned positions on the NFHCA National Academic Squad. Additionally, 10 were named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll for GPAs above 3.20 during the 2012 fall semester and three were Academic All-Patriot League honorees. Earning further distinction were Tayler Siegrist, the Patriot League Field Hockey Scholar-Athlete of the Year, and Abby Watson, who was named to the NFHCA’s Scholars of Distinction list.

Fame/All-Time Results BUCKNELL ATHLETICS HALL OF FAME

The following former field hockey players have been inducted in Bucknell’s Athletics Hall of Fame: Barbara Castens-Seidell (’79): A co-captain in field hockey and one of the first two women elected to the Hall of Fame. Castens played goalkeeper for the Bison. She entered Hall of Fame with the Class of 1985. Karin Wegener Knisely (’79): One of the first two women elected to the Hall of Fame, Wegener was Bucknell’s first three-sport captain. She entered Hall of Fame with the Class of 1985. Marjorie A. Deck (’73): A co-captain of the field hockey team, Deck entered Hall of Fame with the Class of 1989. Jill Henry-Feeney (’81): A three-sport captain and twice named to the Academic All-America College Division Team in basketball, Henry entered Hall of Fame with the Class of 1993. Kathy Kline Grove (’80): A four-year starter in field hockey, Kline was a nominee for the Honda Broderick Award. She ranks second in career goals for Bucknell with 48 and entered Hall of Fame with the Class of 1994.

Dianne Czarnecki (’87): A three-time All EastCoast Conference field hockey player and 1986 Regional All-American, Czarnecki entered Hall of Fame with the Class of 1999. Pam Heller Shassian (’78): A three-sport standout in field hockey, basketball, and lacrosse, Heller was a pioneer for the women’s lacrosse program, serving as co-captain her senior year. She was second team All-Mideast in field hockey and entered Hall of Fame with the Class of 2000. Margaret Philleo Ricci (’79): A standout in field hockey, basketball and lacrosse, Philleo was inducted with the Class of 2002. She played on the Mideast Regional hockey team and in the U.S. National tournament. She was a three-time Susquehanna All-Star. Tricia Way (’94): Tricia became the first woman athlete in Bucknell history to earn all-conference honors five times. She was a three-time All-Patriot League selection in women’s lacrosse and a twotime honoree in field hockey. Way was the Patriot League Scholar-Athlete once for field hockey and twice for lacrosse and entered the Hall of Fame with the Class of 2006.

Susanne Gray Behringer (’84): A captain of both the field hockey and lacrosse teams, Gray entered Hall of Fame with the Class of 1996.

Dorothy “Bugs” Harvey Lloyd (’53): Dorothy, better known as “Bugs,” was a four-year starter for the field hockey club, leading it to great success in Bucknell Intercollegiate Play Day tournaments. She was a member of the Women’s Athletic Association board and served as the organization’s president during her senior year. She was named to the Mid-East Conference all-star team and was a finalist for the national team. Harvey entered the Hall of Fame with the Class of 2007. Almira Baldwin Arnold (’94): Baldwin earned all-conference honors four straight seasons, only the second Bison female athlete to accomplish the feat. She was one of two Bison named to the Patriot League All-Decade Team for field hockey and was a Second Team Mid-East Regional AllAmerican in 1992 and 1993. She graduated with the program record for assists and entered the Hall of Fame with the Class of 2008. Jen Zimmerman (’00): A two-year captain, Zimmerman was a two-time Regional All-America and All-Patriot League selection, and as a junior she was named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year. A member of the Patriot League AllDecade Team for field hockey, she was also the Patriot League Field Hockey Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 1999. She will enter the Hall of Fame with the Class of 2013.

KENNETH G. LANGONE ATHLETICS & RECREATION CENTER The Bucknell University Department of Athletics and Recreation prides itself on setting the standard of excellence when it comes to success both on the playing fields and in the classroom. With 18 Patriot League Presidents’ Cups in 23 years, national leadership in graduation rates, 124 Academic All-Americans since 1970 and 131 Patriot League Scholar-Athletes in 23 years, Bucknell is clearly at the head of the class in terms of upholding the scholar-athlete model. The 2003 addition of the Kenneth G. Langone Athletics and Recreation Center, one of the finest collegiate athletics and recreation venues of its kind, ensures the continuation of that success. The facility enhances each of Bucknell’s 27 varsity programs and greatly expands the scope of its growing intramural and recreational sports offerings. A visually appealing structure located along Moore Avenue on the “downhill” side of campus, the Langone Athletics and Recreation Center was designed to reach out to all members of the campus community, including the student body, varsity student-athletes, faculty, staff and alumni. Three primary venues lie within the facility: the Arthur D. Kinney Jr. Natatorium, the 4,000seat Gary A. Sojka Pavilion and the Krebs Family Fitness Center. Other features include a new location for the Bucknell Athletics Hall of Fame, a display of Bucknell’s Congressional Medal of

Honor recipients, a sports medicine and athletic training suite, classrooms, modern offices for coaches and staff and increased locker room space for varsity and recreational athletes. The facility is named in honor of Ken Langone, a 1957 Bucknell graduate who, along with his wife Elaine, pledged $11 million toward the center’s construction. Langone was a member of the university Board of Trustees from 1980 to 1996. One of the special qualities of the Langone Athletics and Recreation Center is the manner in which it supplements the pre-existing facilities. The new construction surrounds Gerhard Fieldhouse and historic Davis Gymnasium, which has been restored as a competition venue for the Bison volleyball and wrestling teams, as well as intramural, recreation and other varsity practice activities. As Bucknell continues to strive toward its mission of setting the standard of excellence in college athletics, the Langone Athletics and Recreation Center is the centerpiece in an already impressive cache of athletics facilities that includes the 13,100-seat Christy MathewsonMemorial Stadium and its FieldTurf and 8-lane track surface; the scenic Bucknell Golf Club and new Instructional Golf Center; Depew Field, the home of the Bison baseball team; and the spacious West Fields Complex, which encompasses Depew Field (baseball), Becker Field (softball)

and the adjoining Graham Field (Astroturf for field hockey and women’s lacrosse) and Emmitt Field (natural grass for soccer) at Holmes Stadium that now features a stadium/press box facility.
