Bucks Students’ Union offer the BIG Deal, in conjunction with BNU, to give you a diverse range of programmes and activities, unique in the university sector. From sports, societies and entertainment, to recreational activities, personal development programmes and trips all are provided for free!

FREE ENTERTAINMENT AND SOCIAL PROGRAMME

Whether it is live music and comedy or exclusive club nights and cultural events, our events and social programme will have something for you. Based in our awardwinning venues, you have full free access so you never have to miss a thing!

FREE RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES

Singing lessons, theatre trips, cookery and language classes or learning how to be a fire performer, our free recreational activities give you the opportunity to try something that you have always fancied.

FREE SOCIETIES

University is great for finding like-minded people and exploring your interests. From faith and community to academic and physical activities, you’ll find a huge list of societies for you to join, all completely free and fully supported by Bucks Students’ Union.

FREE SPORTS

Whether it is competitive or sport for fun, we have lots of opportunities for you to get involved in sport. With 25 different teams in a variety of disciplines, whatever your standard, you’ll find a team perfect for you. Our Sport for Fun is excellent for those that don’t want to compete but just join in.

Free Additional Skills Workshops

When you leave with your degree, we want you to stand out from the crowd. We will make sure you are ‘work ready’ by providing a whole host of other skills and experiences that complement your degree and provide you with the transferable skills that employers are looking for. Look out for free certificated courses, training programmes and taster sessions.

We’ll provide you with a Bucks Award, a record of all your achievements through the Students’ Union, and a session with our team to support you in applying those experiences to your chosen career.

Rewarded Student Reps

Not only does the BIG Deal include free activities, we also financially reward our student reps. It’s also a chance to bridge the gap between students and the University and initiate real change. In return, you’ll get the support and guidance to boost your employability and leadership skills. It may even lead to other paid opportunities in the future.
