Plants and greenery add beauty to your home, both inside and out but certain ones can be toxic to cats and dogs. Here’s a list of some of the most common plants that are NOT pet-safe.

If your pet chews or ingests these plants side effects can range from mild systems to severe. These can include gastrointestinal upset, vomiting, diarrhea, labored breathing, weakness, drooling, burning, dermatitis, convulsions, pale gums or tongue, loss of coordination, difficulty swallowing to liver and kidney damage, heart arrhythmias and even death.

Always contact your local veterinarian and the Animal Poison Control Center if you believe your pet has ingested a toxic plant.
