What is this about ? Presentation aimed to present selected metrics in inbound international and domestic flights to the Philippines. We have looked at the countries, airports, passenger numbers with distinction for international tourists. What are the countries with the highest number of inbound tourists ? Are the flights from the Middle East tourists or OFW? Are those tourist numbers related to available direct flight routes ?
Observations 1. Most of the significant number of foreign tourists to the Philippines were from East Asia (China, Korea, Taiwan, Japan) and USA. 2. UK seems to have the most number of tourists coming from Europe. Data comes from DOJ Bureau Immigration - Dept/Arrival Cards that has those 2 metrics: Country of First Departure / Country of Residence. Not sure if they take it into account, why UK values would be inflated. Bart: I need make my own research into direct flights LON-MNL
