Chicago Auto Show. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bus departs from Joliet Mall behind JC Penney (section 10). The 2014 Chicago Auto Show will feature more than 1.2 million square feet of exhibit space, the world’s largest room transformed into a transportation Fantasyland of amazing displays - showcasing more than 1,000 exciting new production cars, trucks, sport utility, concept and specialty vehicles. Old Time Radio Show with PVPN. 7 to 9 p.m. at the Westmont Public Library, 428 N Cass Ave. Hear the stories of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle read aloud as an old time radio show. PVPN will present, “Murder in the Casbah” and “A Scandal in Bohemia,” complete with sound effects and old time commercials fashioned for current businesses in downtown Westmont. Tickets for the show can be purchased in advance at the library with a suggested donation of $3 per person or $5 at the door on the night of the performance. Concessions will be available inside the library.
Frozen Film Festival. 1 to 8 p.m. at the Westmont Community Center, 75 East Richmond St. The Westmont community theatre group, the Progressive Village Performing Network, and the Westmont Park District are proud to offer our 2nd annual film festival to the community. Join us as we discover filmmaking’s newest talents as we screen these films.
