The Plainfield Public Library hosted a public meeting July 11 to update the community about plans for a proposed expansion of the facility. A presentation by architecture firm Nagle Hartray summarized the content of several June meetings on the expansion and how its concepts have been refined. Concept 2 and Concept 5, which share several characteristics, have received the most favor in previous meetings. The Plainfield library serves 75,337 people, is 21,160 square feet in one location and has an annual average household cost of $190.14.
