Plainfield Fire Protection District hosts Annual Pancake Breakfast
T
here is nothing like the smell of sausages and eggs in the morning, and Plainfield’s Firefighters were ready to cook breakfast Sunday, March 22, at the Fire District Administration and Training Facility. Crowds estimated over 1,300 were treated to a sit-down of pancakes, fresh syrup, scrambled eggs, sausages cooked outdoors, and plenty of hot coffee. See The full STory oN Page 5

The Plainfield Area Chamber of Commerce has accepted the resignation of Pam Angelus after more than 20 years as the Residential Greeter for the Plainfield Area Chamber of Commerce. Angelus began the greeter program in 1995 with just 15 new residents and 30 businesses, according to a press release from the chamber. Today, she visits an average of over 100 homes per month with information about over 80 local businesses. “She is a ray of sunshine in our PaM aNgeluS organization and will truly be missed,” stated Tasha Kitson, the Chamber’s Executive Director. Angelus will visit her final homes as Residential Greeter in April, before she begins as the Communication and Community Relations Director at St. Mary Immaculate Parish. “This was a very hard decision for me to make, but I knew it was a new door that needed to be opened,” Angelus said in the release. “I want to thank everyone at the PACC office, its members and the local community for all of the support over the past years.” “The Chamber’s loss is St. Mary’s gain,” said Chamber Executive Board Chair Julie Milavec. “Pam will continue to be active in the Plainfield community as she
