Avery YMCA in Plainfield March 30 through April 2. The Joliet Jets are expanding into the area for youths interested in competitive swimming. The Illinois Department ofTransportation announced that reconstruction work will begin along a two- mile segment of U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) beginning, as early as, Wednesday, April 1. Utility companies will begin with relocation of their facilities to make way for an improved drainage system and a wider roadway. Between I-55 and Renwick Road, the typical section will be a five-lane highway. Some of the intersections will have additional turn lanes. From Renwick Road to Illinois 59, a three-lane section will be built.
