Mary Kubica will talk to audiences about her debut novel ‘The Good Girl’

INSIDE

Plainfield author Mary Kubica will talk to audiences about her debut novel, “The Good Girl,” at a book signing on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. in the Plainfield Public Library’s large meeting room, located at 15025 S. Illinois St. The public is invited to this free event. Kubica’s novel has been praised by Library Journal as “compulsively readable and highly recommended for anyone who loves a mystery, a suspense tale or a psychological puzzle.” The book follows protagonist Mia Dennett, an art teacher and daughter of a prominent Chicago judge, who is taken hostage by her one-night stand, Colin Thatcher. Instead of taking her to his employers, Thatcher hides her in a secluded cabin in rural Minnesota to keep her safe from harm. An addictively suspenseful and tautly written thriller, “The Good Girl” is a propulsive debut novel that reveals how even in the perfect family, nothing is as it seems. Kubica will give a reading and answer questions at the event. There will be books available for purchase at the signing, and also a drawing for a free signed book and Amazon gift card. All those planning to attend should register onlineathttp://bit.ly/MaryKubica.Attendees can also register by calling 815-327-2515.
