PLAINFIELD’S NEW PECKING ORDER Garrett Peck named Plainfield Park District chief By Suzanne Baker Staff reporter
P
lainfield Village Trustee Garrett Peck is head of the Plainfield Park District, effective Monday. In a special meeting Saturday, the Plainfield Park Board voted 3-1 to name Peck as the district’s interim executive director after voting 3-1 to amend current director Greg Bott’s contract so that his last day is Wednesday. Bott will begin the process of handing over the reins to Peck on Monday. Bott had been scheduled to retire June 30. Compensation for Peck is expected to be discussed at the June 12 park board meeting. Bott’s salary was $164,000 a year, and he will continue to be
