ill Dew and Earl Plutz sat in their lawn chairs watching the people stroll back and forth down Lockport Street in downtown Plainfield. Only bad weather would keep them away from the first Cruise Night of the year on June 4. Dew, of Plainfield, parked his 1964 SS Impala near the corner of Lockport and DesPlaines streets, next to the 1947 Mercury, owned by Plutz, of Joliet. The two men like the weekly Plainfield car show. They enjoy seeing all the cars and talking with friends. “There is plenty of great food to eat, too,” Dew said. Plainfield Cruise Nights run 5-9 p.m. every Tuesday See CRUISE, page 2
