arlie Traversa of Plainfield dreams of performing arias in concert halls across the globe one day. But this summer, she will have to settle for singing in a choir at St. Peter’s Basilica at the Vatican. The recent Plainfield North High School graduate who just turned 18 is in Italy this month with the Assisi Performing Arts program. Based in Assisi, Italy, the performing arts program gives singers and musicians the opportunity to hone their skills in master classes as well as perform in concerts throughout Assisi. The highlight of the trip will be on July 14 when the Assisi Fest Choir will See SING, page 2
