As a respiratory therapist at the Les Turner/Lois Insolia ALS Clinic, Lisa Gorsky has seen many patients, and their families, battle with the terminal and debilitating Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, or ALS. However, it was shortly after beginning work at Northwestern Memorial Hospital’s clinic that she and her family received news of her father-in-law’s diagnosis with ALS, and Gorsky, in support of the ALS community and her father-in-law, began to serve as the captain of the “Northwestern Dream Team” in the ALS Walk for life.

The Will Electric Aggregation Group, of which Plainfield is a member, has selected Homefield Energy as the new electric supplier for their communities. The WEAG negotiated a 36 month rate that averages $.06950/kwh ($.06996/kWh for the first 24 months and $.06850 for months 24-36) on behalf of its residents and small businesses. When compared to the Commonwealth Edison rate of $.0742/kwh this represents a 6.5 percent savings on the supply of electricity, village officials said.
