QUICK SIX -The Huskies are making their 10th appearance in the NCAA Division II Football Playoffs. Bloomsburg owns an 8-9 record in post-season play. -Bloomsburg has reached the playoffs in backto-back years for the third time in school history, also doing so in 2000-01 and 2005-06. -The Huskies are 5-2 all-time at Redman Stadium in playoff games. -Saturday marks the third time Bloomsburg and West Chester have met in the playoffs. The Huskies scored victories over WCU in 2006 (21-20) and 2008 (28-21), both at home. -Franklyn Quiteh has advanced to the national ballot for the Harlon Hill trophy for the third time. He finished sixth in the balloting in 2010 and third last year. -Lawrence Elliott Jr. ranks first in the PSAC and fifth in the nation in kickoff return average (32.3 yards/return). TODAY’S MATCHUP PSAC East rivals Bloomsburg and West Chester meet for the second time in three weeks, this time with a spot in the NCAA Division II Super Region One final on the line. Bloomsburg seeks its first playoff victory since a first round win over California (PA) in 2010 while West Chester is making its first playoff appearance since 2008 when its season was ended at the hands of the Huskies in the second round. THE HEAD COACHES Paul Darragh takes over the role of interim head coach this season after serving 16 years on the Bloomsburg coaching staff as defensive coordinator. Under Darragh’s leadership, the Huskies’ defense has ranked in the top half of the PSAC in total defense in seven of the past 11 seasons. At 9-1, he is off to the best start of any head coach in Bloomsburg football history. Bill Zwaan is in his 11th season at the helm of the Golden Rams, building WCU into a perennial PSAC power. Under Zwaan, the Rams have won three PSAC Eastern Division titles (2004, 2007, 2008) while winning conference Coach of the Year honors each time with his spread Wing-T offensive scheme. He has also led WCU to the NCAA Playoffs a schoolrecord five times including a national semifinal appearance in 2004. Zwan has 16 years of head

coaching experience, with Saturday being his 201st game on the sidelines. He started his run at Division III Widener, posting a 54-14 record while there, setting a school record for winning percentage at .794 before moving to West Chester. LAST MEETING Bloomsburg clinched the PSAC East title with its 31-28 win at previously unbeaten and eighthranked West Chester on Nov. 9. The Huskies controlled that contest, dominating time of possession (37:46-22:14) and owned a 31-14 lead midway through the fourth quarter following an interception return for a touchdown by . West Chester made things interesting in the final seven minutes, scoring on drives of 71 and 80 yards but it was too little, too late. Bloomsburg posted 572 yards of total offense, including 310 yards on the ground, while holding WCU to 375 yards and just 70 yards of rushing. Franklyn Quiteh carried 30 times for 154 yards and a score for the Huskies while Sean McCartney tossed for 305 yards and four scores for WCU. SERIES HISTORY The Huskies have won four straight games over rival West Chester and earlier this year scored its second straight road victory at Farrell Stadium for just the second time ever, matching the accomplishment first set in 1994 and 1996. Saturday’s game marks the 72nd meeting between the schools dating back to 1925 and while BU has struggled at WCU with a 7-28 alltime record, the Huskies have had much more success at home vs. the Golden Rams, posting an 18-18 mark at Bloomsburg. The Huskies are 11-2 at Redman Stadium vs. WCU in the past two decades.

BU WINS 1ST PSAC TITLE SINCE 1985 Bloomsburg received its first round bye and a No. 2 seed in the Super Region One bracket after winning the PSAC Championship via its 42-38 come-from-behind victory over Slippery Rock on Nov. 16. That win gave the PSAC title to the Huskies for the first time since 1985. Bloomsburg erased a 15-point third quarter deficit to defeat Slippery Rock and win its second straight game over a nationally-ranked opponent after winning at West Chester the previous week. HUSKIES PLAYOFF HISTORY Bloomsburg is making its 10th appearance in the NCAA Playoffs. The Huskies’ all-time playoff record is 8-9; 5-2 at home and 3-7 on the road. NOT SO GOLDEN Bloomsburg denied rival West Chester its first 10-0 start since 1967 with its 31-28 upset on Nov. 9. The Golden Rams had a familiar face on their roster at defensive end that year – Danny Hale, who was a three-year letterwinner for the Golden Rams from 1965-67 and would later go on to a legendary career as the Huskies’ all-time leader in coaching victories. It was the first time WCU tasted defeat in 371 days – its last loss also came at the hands of Bloomsburg in a 24-23 decision last season at Redman Stadium. PLAYING THE SPOILER Bloomsburg’s victory over then eighth-ranked West Chester on Nov. 9 was the first for the Huskies over a top 10 team in nearly three years. The last victory over a team ranked within the national AFCA top 10 came on Nov. 20, 2010 in the first round of the NCAA Playoffs when the Huskies knocked off No. 7 California (PA), 28-26. Bloomsburg also defeated a fifthranked Cal squad, 24-17, on Sept. 6, 2008 and No. 6 Shepherd (W. Va.) in the 2006 NCAA Playoffs. Bloomsburg picked up another win over a nationally-ranked opponent in Week 11, defeating No. 18 Slippery Rock for the PSAC Championship Game. TO 2,000 AND BEYOND Franklyn Quiteh enters Saturday with 2,152 yards of total offense this year. It is his third season of 2,000 all-purpose yards – he totaled 2,206 last season and 2,062 in 2010. The school record for single season all-purpose yards is 2,563

MAKING HISTORY Senior running back Franklyn Quiteh is re-writing the PSAC record books this season by setting the conference’s all-time record for most career rushing yards. Quiteh broke the record with an eight-yard carry in the fourth quarter at Edinboro in Week 2 as part of a 231-yard performance. Quiteh is currently the leading active rusher in all NCAA divisions (FBS, FCS, II, III) - by a wide margin. His career total is over 1,000 yards more than his closest follower, Melikke Van Alstyne of Division III’s Framingham State (6,025). Quiteh also is the NCAA active leader in rushing yards per game (159.0), allpurpose yards (7,741), rushing touchdowns (85) and total TDs (89). Quiteh has rushed for over 100 yards in 41 of 46 career games and 26 of the past 28. With his 21-yard field goal at Kutztown on Sept. 21, Danny Fisher broke the all-time conference record for career 3-pointers, connecting on his 51st with the Huskies. The previous mark had been held by Ed Detwiler of ESU for over two decades. Fisher captured the career kicking points record the previous week at Edinboro. He currently leads all Division II active players in field goals and is seventh among active players in all divisions. Among active leaders in total points in Division II, Franklyn Quiteh leads all players with 536 and Fisher ranks fifth at 353.

THIRD TIME’S THE CHARM? For the third time in his career, Franklyn Quiteh has earned a spot on the national ballot for the Harlon Hill award. Given to the top player in Division II each year, Quiteh finished sixth on the ballot in 2010 and third last year. SACK ATTACK Bloomsburg racked up 35 sacks during the regular season, the most for the Huskies since 2002. Bloomsburg had 38 sacks as a team that year, led by Dave Armstrong’s 8.5. Only West Chester (40) and Shippensburg (36) have more sacks this year. WEBSTER’S SACK PARADE Senior defensive end Larry Webster led the PSAC this season with 12.5 sacks and also led the nation in sack yards with 102. A first team All-PSAC East pick, Webster has 26 sacks in 23 career games. He has also been nominated for the Cliff Harris Award for the top small college defensive player of the year. TURNING RED INTO POINTS Bloomsburg has a 94 percent success rate in the red-zone this season, scoring in 44 of 47 trips with only one true failure – a missed field goal at West Chester - the other two times came when running out the clock at the end of victories. More impressive, the Huskies have scored touchdowns in 74 percent of their trips to the red-zone (35).

BLOOMSBURG FOOTBALL GAME NOTES IRONMAN STECK Senior center Chris Steck has turned in a tremendous career anchoring the often dominant Bloomsburg offensive line. The Mt. Carmel product stepped in as a freshman in 2010 and hasn’t missed a beat, starting 47 straight games. The multi-time All-PSAC East as well as 2012 NCAA All-Super Region I selection has been a key player in Bloomsburg’s ability to record 315.8 yards per game on the ground last season and over 317 yards per contest this year and has been in the lineup for all of Franklyn Quiteh’s record-setting career at running back. WAGNER TAKES NATIONAL HONOR Freshman punter Will Wagner recently took the D2Football.com National Special Teams Player of the Week award following his performance in Week 10 at West Chester. Wagner earned the award after sending three straight punts at or inside the WCU 1-yard line to help preserve BU’s 31-28 win. Wagner has 16 punts inside the 20 this year and six punts of over 50 yards. PATRICK PICKS ANOTHER Senior safety Jonathan Patrick ranks tied second in the PSAC with five interceptions and tied first in touchdowns with two. His 45-yard INT and touchdown return during the fourth quarter at West Chester was the final blow in sealing BU’s upset victory over No. 8 WCU on Nov. 9. ANOTHER RECORD-SETTING WEEK FOR QUITEH Franklyn Quiteh turned in yet another week for the record books in Week 10 at West Chester. With his 154 yards on the ground on the day, he moved from fifth to second all-time in Division II rushing and just the third player in D-II history to reach the 7,000-yard mark. He leapfrogged over Brian Shay (6,958 yards), Germaine Race (6,985) and Xavier Omon (7,084), joining Omon and Danny Woodhead (7,962) in one of the most elite clubs in college football - the 7,000-yard rushing club. Quiteh also set two more PSAC records in the West Chester game - his 86th overall touchdown gave him 518 career points, moving past former Husky Jamar Brittingham in both categories. In Week 11 vs. Slippery Rock, Quiteh took just about the only PSAC career rushing record that didn’t already belong to him, setting the all-time mark for rushing touchdowns with his 85th, passing the 83 set by Jamar Brittingham.

QUITEH, POSTELL SWEEP PSAC WEEKLY AWARDS The Huskies swept the conference PSAC East weekly athlete of the week awards for the second consecutive week as Franklyn Quiteh earned Offensive Athlete of the Week honors and Gary Postell was named Defensive Athlete of the Week following the PSAC Championship Game win over Slippery Rock. Quiteh rushed 27 times for 231 yards and three touchdowns. It was Quiteh’s fifth game of over 200 yards rushing this year. Postell made a career-high 12 tackles and sealed the win with a last-second interception. Postell is third on the team with 61 tackles including 45 solo stops. QUITEH, SHIRK SWEEP PSAC WEEKLY AWARDS For the second time this season, Franklyn Quiteh and Justin Shirk swept the PSAC East athlete of the week awards following the Week 10 win at West Chester. Quiteh captured East Offensive honors with his 154 yards and touchdown against No. 8 West Chester. Shirk, meanwhile, set a career-high with 16 tackles vs. the Golden Rams and also made seven stops during the crucial fourth quarter. The pair also swept the East weekly awards following the Huskies’ Week 7 win at East Stroudsburg. THEY’RE PRETTY GOOD TOO Entering the season, Bloomsburg was searching for a compliment to All-American tailback Franklyn Quiteh in the backfield. The Huskies have certainly found it, offering three strong options on the ground. Quiteh (1,987 yards), Dai’Shon Munger (649 yards) and Joe Parsnik (471 yards) have given the Huskies three rushers with at least 450 yards for the first time since 2008 when Derrick Price (1,279), Kenny Domzalski (878) and Dan Latorre (545) all reached the total. MOVING THE CHAINS The Huskies tied their season-high for first downs in a game with 28 vs. West Chester, the third time the team has reached that total (vs. Stonehill, at East Stroudsburg). BU doubled up the Golden Rams 28-14 in first downs. The opposition low in first downs this season is Millersville’s 13 in Week 6. RUNNING TO DAYLIGHT Entering this week’s game vs. West Chester, Bloomsburg has an on-going streak of 31 straight games with at least one rushing touchdown – the last time the Huskies failed to run for a score came on Sept. 15, 2011 at IUP.

He joins Joique Bell, Wayne State (MI), 2006-09; Danny Woodhead, Chadron St., 2004-07; Chris Washington, Concord-St. Paul, 2000-03; Damian Beane, Shepherd, 1996-99; Jarrett Anderson, Truman, 1993-96; Jeremy Monroe, Michigan Tech, 1990-93 and Johnny Bailey, Texas A&M-Kingsville, 1986-89 as the only players to accomplish the feat. Bloomsburg alum Jamar Brittingham missed being the ninth player by just nine yards – he rushed for 991 yards as a freshman before surpassing 1,000 yards the next three seasons.

DARRAGH, QUITEH HIGHLIGHT 10 HUSKIES SELECTED TO ALL-PSAC EAST TEAMS Ten players from the Bloomsburg University football team have landed spots on the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division teams highlighted by senior running back Franklyn Quiteh (Tobyhanna/Pocono Mountain West) taking Offensive Athlete of the Year and Paul Darragh being named Coach of the Year. Darragh is in his first season at the helm of the Huskies after taking over for the legendary Danny Hale following his retirement in February. Darragh has posted the most wins of any first-year coach in Bloomsburg football history, guiding the Huskies to their first PSAC Championship since 1985. He’s in his 17th season with the program after serving as Hale’s defensive coordinator for 16 years. Quiteh, a four-time first team pick, leads the nation in rushing with 1,987 yards on the season while averaging 8.4 yards per carry with 27 touchdowns on the ground and 29 total scores. He has broken nearly every school and conference career rushing record, becoming just the third player in Division II history to reach 7,000 yards. At the conclusion of the regular season he ranks second all-time with 7,321 yards. Joining Quiteh on the offense first team are offensive tackle Matt Feiler and offensive guard Brian Clarke along with place-kicker Danny Fisher. Feiler and Clarke each have started all 11 games for the Huskies this season and helped power the fifth-ranked offense in the nation at over 317 yards per game on the ground while allowing only 11 sacks. Clarke, a 2012 finalist for the Gene Upshaw Division II Lineman of the Year Award has 37 career starts while Feiler has started all 34 games for the Huskies since taking the starting job at the beginning of the 2011 season. The offensive line received a third member on the all-conference teams with the selection of senior center Chris Steck to the second team. Steck, who takes all-conference honors for the third time, has never missed a start in the past four seasons, anchoring the offensive line in 47 straight games.

Fisher has connected on 10 of 14 field goal attempts this year as well as 54 of 55 point after attempts. He ranks first among PSAC kickers in all-time field goals made, breaking the career record this season and now owns 56 3-pointers – surpassing the record of 50 held by ESU’s Ed Detwiler since 1992. He also ranks fifth in Division II history in field goals while having the most career kicking points in the history of the PSAC (349). Defensively the Huskies have three first team picks with Larry Webster, Chris Kennedy and Justin Shirk. Webster returns to the first team for the second straight year with 42 tackles, 12.5 sacks and 14.0 tackles for loss on the year. He leads the PSAC in total sacks and all of Division II in sack yards (102). Kennedy, a four-year starter, earns his second straight first team selection with 23 tackles and three sacks including a forced fumble as a key force in the middle of the Huskies defensive line. Shirk, in his first season at middle linebacker, leads the team and ranks third in the PSAC with 111 total tackles along with 3.0 sacks, 8.0 tackles for loss and multiple pass breakups. He was selected to the All-PSAC East second team in both 2011 and 2012. Redshirt sophomore cornerback Gary Postell also takes a spot on the second team. Postell took over a starting role this year and stands third on the team with 61 tackles. He also has 4.0 tackles for loss and sealed the Huskies’ PSAC Championship victory with his game-ending interception vs. Slippery Rock. Bloomsburg received another special teams selection with return specialist Lawrence Elliott Jr. picked to the second team. The true freshman has shown electric abilities when touching the ball this year, averaging 32.2 yards per kick return. He also had a 73-yard punt return for a touchdown in the win over Millersville and an 86-yard kick return vs. Shippensburg.

NO RUSHERS TO 100 Bloomsburg has not allowed a 100-yard rusher this season. The most yards by a single player on the ground against the Huskies came from the 95 yards Edinboro quarterback Cody Harris rushed for in BU’s Week 2 win. The last player to rush for more than 100 yards against Bloomsburg was Slippery Rock’s Akeem Satterfield who did so on Nov. 10, 2012. The defense was able to hold do-it-all West Chester running back Rondell White to 88 yards rushing in Week 10. HALLOWEEN FRIGHTFUL FOR HUSKIES Bloomsburg’s Week 9 loss to Shippensburg brought several statistical anomalies for the Huskies – most notably on the ground. Bloomsburg’s 106 yards of rushing was the first time the Huskies have finished a game with fewer than 200 yards rushing since picking up just 76 at IUP on Sept. 15, 2011. Against Shippensburg, the Huskies rushed 30 times – continuing a streak of 45 straight games with at least 30 rushing attempts, but was the fewest runs for BU since the 27 the Huskies mounted vs. West Chester on Oct. 31, 2009. Further, the Huskies went scoreless into the locker room at halftime for the first time since doing so on Nov. 27, 2010 at Mercyhurst – and their 258 yards of total offense were the fewest for a Huskies team since that same November 2010 game at Mercyhurst. Bloomsburg also saw its streak of 21 straight games with 20 or more points broken. The mark is a school record. The Huskies also had a school record streak of eight straight games with 30 or more points snapped on Halloween Night. AIRING IT OUT The 32 pass attempts by Tim Kelly vs. Shippensburg were not only a career-high, but also the most for the Huskies since Pat Carey put up 37 pass attempts at Mercyhurst on Nov. 13, 2010. MORE RECORDS FALL TO QUITEH Franklyn Quiteh had yet another day for the record books in Week 7 at East Stroudsburg, setting a new school record for rushing yards in a single game with 304. That broke the old record of 300 set by Jerry Marks vs. Mansfield in 1991. He had 28 carries, averaging 10.9 yards per rush and had eight carries of 15 or more yards. It was also his 11th game of over 200 yards rushing. Quiteh set the record wearing jersey No. 8 to honor the memory of friend and Pocono Mountain West high school teammate Jon Mangual who was killed in a 2008 automobile accident and is buried just outside ESU’s Eiler-Martin Stadium. The performance allowed Quiteh to shatter a national record in the process - it was his 38th game of over 100 yards rushing in his career. Quiteh now has more 100 yard games

than any other player in Division II history - the previous record of 37 was held by Danny Woodhead (Chadron St., 2004-07) and Xavier Omon (Northwest Mo. St., 2004-07). He now has 40 career 100-yard rushing games after rushing for 114 yards in Week 8 vs. Cheyney and 154 in Week 10 at West Chester. In Week 9 vs. Shippensburg, he set the all-time PSAC record for career rushing attempts, entering Saturday’s game with 956. The old record of 943 was held by Gerald Thompson of Edinboro (1995-98). HUSKY-SIZED YARDAGE The Huskies posted 627 yards of total offense in their win at ESU in Week 7, the second time this season the team has surpassed 600 total yards – also doing so in their 41-13 Week 1 win vs. Stonehill (642). For the year, Bloomsburg averages 487.5 yards per game, good for fifth in the PSAC. The school record for team yardage per game is 484.0 set during in 1996. RUN THE BALL, STOP THE RUN The Huskies have become one of the most successful programs in the PSAC thanks in large part to a physical style and ability to control at the point of attack. This has been evident so far through seven games this year as the Huskies have been one of the best teams in the nation at running the ball as well as stopping the run. BU has outrushed its opposition by a 3,494-962 margin on the year and has surrendered only five rushing touchdowns. Bloomsburg ranks fifth in the country in rushing offense (317.6 yards/game) and ninth in rushing defense (87.0 yards/game allowed).

The school record is 315.8 set last year. HUSKIES IN ELITE COMPANY With their 52-38 win at East Stroudsburg in Week 7, the Huskies have won seven or more games in 15 consecutive seasons. Only four schools in the divisions of the NCAA have longer streaks: Florida State and Virginia Tech in the FBS; NW Missouri in Division II; and Mt. Union in Division III. The 15-year streak is also a PSAC record, breaking IUP’s mark of 13 set from 1984-1996. SHIRK STARS IN THE MIDDLE Justin Shirk shifted to middle linebacker for this season and the team tri-captain has excelled in that role. The two-time PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week leads the team and ranks third in the PSAC with 111 tackles on the year and has double digit tackles in three straight games. A two-sport star, Shirk won the NCAA Division II national javelin championship in 2012, becoming the first Bloomsburg national champion in men’s track and field in school history. PUTTING UP THE POINTS The Huskies are 107-3 when scoring 40 points all-time following their 42-38 win vs. Slippery Rock. BLOOMSBURG FOOTBALL GAME NOTES FISHER ON MITCHELL AWARD HONOREE LIST Danny Fisher was named to the Fred Mitchell Award honoree list for the month of September and October for his work on the field and in the community. Fisher has made good on 10 of 14 field goal attempts. Away from the field, he raised over $5,000 for the Angelman Syndrome Foundation through his ‘Kick for a Cure’ initiative. For each field goal and extra point he kicks this season, he will donate money to the ASF toward raising awareness and work on a cure for Angelman Syndrome, a neuro-genetic disorder with no cure requiring lifelong care for symptoms including developmental delay, lack of speech, seizures and walking and balance disorders. Fisher developed Kick for a Cure to help a close family friend who suffers from the disease. Fisher’s work with ‘Kick for a Cure’ was featured on the front page of the CBSSports.com College Football section. Fisher has raised over $6,400 for the ASF. WORKING QUICK Though Bloomsburg is known for its bruising running attack, the Huskies have been able to score quickly as often as any team in the PSAC this season. So far on the year, Bloomsburg has tallied 64 scoring drives – of those scoring drives, 40 have taken just 2:59 or less including 23 scoring drives of under two minutes.

IT’S OLD HAT Danny Fisher has kicked at least one field goal in 31 games, stretching out his own school record. He broke the record with two field goals in the season-opening win vs. Stonehill, breaking the previous mark of 24 set by Jon Koenig from 2006-09. He enters the Slippery Rock game with 56 career 3-pointers. COLORING RECORD BOOK MAROON & GOLD Franklyn Quiteh has plenty of BU company atop the PSAC rushing list. Now that Quiteh owns the career conference rushing record, the Huskies occupy three out of the top four all-time PSAC rushing spots - Quiteh, Jamar Brittingham (5,689 yards from 2004-07, second) and Irv Singler (5,105 from 1994-97, fourth). DII’S FINEST During preseason, D2Football.com unveiled its top 100 players in all of NCAA Division II. The Huskies were extremely well represented in that poll, placing three players in the top 11 and five in the top 100 – including taking the top spot. Senior running back Franklyn Quiteh earned the honor as the No. 1 player in the poll, being credited for his speed, vision and ability to break tackles. The two-time Harlon Hill finalist was joined by defensive end Larry Webster (No. 9), offensive guard Brian Clarke (No. 11), center Chris Steck (No. 94) and defensive tackle Chris Kennedy (No. 96). When the D2Football.com preseason All-America teams came out in August, the Huskies also had strong representation - Quiteh and Clarke were each first team selections while Steck and Webster landed on the second team.

FROM THE ARCHIVES By Bloomsburg University Archivist Bob Dunkelberger Franklyn Quiteh scored the winning points over Slippery Rock last week with just 27 seconds left in the game. The last time the Huskies won a game with so little time left was on September 5, 2009, when Dan Latorre hit Cory Stiger with a 4-yard touchdown pass with 22 seconds left for a 17-10 victory at California. Paul Darragh has a school record 10 wins by a first-year head coach. The record had been seven, by Charles Albert in 1910 and Pete Adrian in 1986. The only other coaches to win at least five were Robert Redman with six in 1947 and Albert Aldinger and Jack Yohe with five, in 1894 and 1952 respectively. The Huskies have run up 436 points in their first eleven games, the second-highest total in school history behind the 458 scored in 1996. This is the sixth time Bloomsburg has reached the 400-point mark during a regular season and the third time in the last four seasons. Bloomsburg has set new school records with ten 30-point games during the regular season and seven games in a season with 500 or more yards of total offense. The Huskies tied the school record set last year of seven games with 300 or more yards rushing. The University of Florida’s loss this past Saturday means the Gators will not win at least seven games for the first time since 1987. That leaves just four teams in all of NCAA college football with a longer seven-game victory streak than the Huskies’ current 15 straight seasons: Florida State, Virginia Tech, NW Missouri and Mt. Union.

Paul Darragh was named interim head coach of Bloomsburg University in February 2013 and overall will be starting his 17th season with the Huskies this year. Darragh has served as the Huskies’ defensive coordinator for the last 16 years. Under Darragh’s leadership the Huskies’ defense has ranked in the top-half of the PSAC in total defense seven of the past 11 seasons, including back-to-back second place finishes in 2000 and 2001 and a second place in 2009. The Huskies have also ranked among the best in the PSAC in run defense finishing first or second five times, including second in two of the last four seasons. The 2009 Huskies finished third nationally in scoring defense (13.36/game), pacing the PSAC. BU also led the conference in sacks, ranking 14th nationally (3.09 per game). In 2010 the Huskies were eighth in Division II in rushing defense (85.38 yards per game). Overall under Darragh’s leadership, the Bloomsburg defense finished in the top-15 in NCAA Division II six times since the 2000 season. Darragh has also coached 51 first team All-PSAC performers, seven All-Americans and two PSAC East Defensive Players of the Year in Anthony Smith (2009) and Mike Varanavage (2010). Prior to Bloomsburg, Darragh worked for two years at Indiana (PA) as the linebackers coach. He started his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Temple from 1987-89. From there, Darragh coached the linebackers at Northeastern and Gannon before being promoted to defensive coordinator at Gannon. He moved from Gannon to the defensive coordinator post at William Paterson College before joining the IUP staff. A three-year starter and captain for Temple, he graduated in 1985 after earning All-East honors as an inside linebacker.
