A. My journey began in 2013 when my wife, Amy, and I decided to sell our renovation business. We were passionate about creating beautiful outdoor living spaces and recognized the potential in focusing exclusively on deck construction. By niching down, we were able to dedicate ourselves to perfecting our craft and providing our clients with exceptional, customized decking solutions. This decision ultimately laid the foundation for the successful and thriving business that Legacy Decks is today.

A. We’ve always been aware of TimberTech as a top brand in our industry. Our collaboration began when a TimberTech rep connected with our sales team, introducing us to their diverse product lines and innovative technology. Q. What are your preferred TimberTech products, and why?

A. Our top choices among TimberTech products include the Vintage Collection and the PRO Legacy Collection, primarily due to their superior quality and durability. They have a ton of color options, which helps our clients to customize their space. The Vintage Collection has a great wire-brushed finish detail, while the PRO Legacy Collection has a more traditional woodgrain appearance. Both collections are great for resistance to staining, scratching, and fading, which is a huge benefit.

Q. What has business been like since the pandemic ended?

A. Since the pandemic ended, business has been thriving for Legacy Decks. With people spending more time at home and focusing on improving their living spaces, demand for outdoor living has surged. We have expanded the team and refined our processes to better serve the demand we are seeing.

Q. Where does your project inspiration come from?

A. We draw inspiration from a variety of sources, including client preferences, architectural styles, and the latest design trends. The team also turns to social media platforms like Pinterest, Instagram, and Houzz for ideas, and enjoys collaborating with clients to create unique, personalized spaces that reflect their lifestyles and tastes.

Q. Any projects for which TimberTech was particularly beneficial?

A. Their PVC line has been a game-changer for us. The ability to heat bend the decking allows us to create truly unique and innovative designs that set us apart. Additionally, the multi-width planks offer versatility in design, enabling us to craft exceptional features that cater to our clients’ preferences and enhance the visual appeal of their outdoor spaces.
