A. series of injection-molded geometric windows has been introduced from Simonton Windows.

The windows come in octagon. circle and oval shapes, and in-clude a nailing fin and simulated brickmould of J-channel.

The octagon window fits a 24"x24,, opening and features plain glass. The circle window is offered in the same size and is available in either plain glass or a standard grid. The 24"x 36"oval window can 6e installed vertically or horizontally, and comes in either plain glass or a standard grid.

Celebrating 40 Years Of L.I.E.S.

The lumber and building materials industry is blessed with many effective and responsible organizations. This isn't one of them.

Now celebrating its 40th year, the Lumbermen's Information Exchange Group (L.I.E.S.) meets every Friday at a Newport Beach, Ca., watering hole to make momentous decisions such as will we all be here next Friday? and who wants what to drink?, to postpone new and old business to next Friday, moan over low lumber prices, hear the latest joke, talk sports and cars, and evaluate the attributes of the staff and customers of the restaurant. This grueling agenda is followed by lunch and (barely legal) consumption of adult beverages.

L.I.E.S. founders include the late Sterling Wolfe of the old MarquartWolfe Lumber Co. Longtime members include Ted Gilbert. founder of Products Sales Co., Orange, Ca., who is President For Life. The other dozen or so members (no one knows for sure how many there are) are vice presidents. Even Gilbert is a vice president. The recording secretary is David Cutler. former owner of The Merchant Magazine, who reports his notes from the meetings in the late 1960s will be finished any day now.

And guests, said Cutler, have been known to include "just about any derelict that washes up on the beach."
