Ron Tipton, 72, former head of purchasing at All-Coast Forest Products. Chino. Ca., died Dec. 16 in Grand Terrace, Ca.

A retired Air Force major, Mr. Tipton worked for All-Coast for more than 25 years. He started his career as one of the company's original outside salesmen, and retired in Dec. 2002.

Shingo Takahashi, 86, retired Hawaiian lumberman, died Nov. 18 in Kahului. Maui.

A World War II veteran of the Army 442nd regimental combat team, Mr. Takahashi retired from A&B Lumber Mill and the Kahului Railroad after 30 years of service.
