MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
OUR GOALS A. Offer the opportunity to professionals who want to transform society from within, women who have big dreams and bigger goals in life. Women who want to make a difference in their surroundings. (Magnanimity) B. Provide the needed motivation and guidance to achieve their full potential. (Encouragement) C. Transmit knowledge and experience; becoming a role model for the younger generations (Influence)
W H AT I T I S A N D W H AT I T I S N O T ? IT IS an opportunity to expand your horizons and receive tailored guidance in matters of professional development. This includes: intellectual, cultural and human development with everything related to work and career advancement. IT IS an opportunity to access a pool of vast experience –different from their common ground- in a trusting relationship where mentees can discuss issues and concerns with confidence, benefitting from their mentor’s advise and experience. IT IS NOT an opportunity for spiritual direction. IT IS NOT an appointment with your psychologist to talk about family matters or relationships, unless these matters are specific work issues (like a family business or a relationship with a coworker).
IT IS NOT an opportunity to socialize; although we acknowledge that these mentor-mentee relationships can grow into a deep friendship. It is important to keep in mind that mentorship time is not a time to socialize.
STRUCTURE Our Mentorship Program will offer a minimum of 4 and maximum of 5 mentorship sessions of 45 minutes The first 2 sessions will take place every other week. After the second session the mentor will asses if the mentee needs 2 or 3 additional sessions, according to the individual need.

MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
“Respect is the greatest expression of love” Miguel Angel Ruiz
"Respect for ourselves guides our morals; respect for others guides our manners.” Laurence Sterne P R I VA C Y A N D B E H AV I O R Disclosed information from both parties, mentor and mentee, will be treated as confidential material, and will not be divulged to others without mutual consent. A privacy code is understood and accepted from the very beginning of the relationship. Our mentorship sessions foster the human virtues of: respect, order, kindness, punctuality and attention to detail. In light of this, we discourage last minute changes in the mentorship schedule. Two schedule changes will be cause to automatically terminate the mentorship.
M AT C H I N G P R O C E S S Our Mentorship Program is offered exclusively to Building Bridges’ members through an application process. This allows us to match the mentee with the most appropriate mentor. The Advisory Board of the Building Bridges Mentorship Program will be responsible for the final matching.
