Alexandre Noll began working with art in the 1920s. He was taking part in the 1925 Paris Exhibition with some sculpted items. In the mid-1930’s he moved on making sculpted furniture, mainly in ebony but also in other kinds of wood. After the second world war, his works emphasised unique, crafted pieces, focusing on sculptures. Featured here is an ebony ‘Large bol’ by Alexandre Noll France ca 1950 that will be sold at Modern Art + Design 10–11 May. Estimate 75 000 – 100 000 SEK / EUR 7 420 – 9 900.
